  • Gmail Notifier Pro 5.3.3 adds a new implementation for Google Contacts, to support the new way Google provides access to the e-mail contacts. Go to the E-mail Composer in Gmail Notifier Pro, click Browse Contacts and then Update in order to setup the first time.
  • This release also includes corrections to the user interface and a few other minor corrections.

  • Gmail Notifier Pro 5.2.4 introduces a new Google Calendar interface that replaces the old interface that was discontinued by Google. This will correct the problems with Google Calendar that many users experienced the last few days
  • Please note that the authentication method for accessing Google Calendar is a bit different with the new Calendar interface. When accessing the calendar for the first time, a dialog will be displayed where you have to accept that Gmail Notifier Pro will get access to your calendar events. This is a step required by Google
  • This release also adds a better troubleshooting guide when testing account settings

  • Adds support for the IMAP protocol for Microsoft Outlook.com accounts. Previously Outlook.com only supported POP, which is more limited in terms of functionality compared to IMAP. Gmail Notifier Pro will continue to support the POP protocol for Outlook.com accounts, but IMAP will be recommended.
  • Another new feature is the View-window where messages can be opened in separate window, where options like printing and saving the message is available. Gmail Notifier Pro can save e-mail messages to HTML, ELM and MSG formats.
  • The release also includes better printing support and new settings.

  • This release adds support for Microsoft Exchange notifications using Exchange Web Services. The e-mail composer also supports sending messages using a Microsoft Exchange server.
  • Version 5.0 also includes support for Microsoft SkyDrive accounts, and similar to the Google Drive support, you can get notifications when any document is modified.
  • Another new features is the built-in RSS feed server. If enabled, all messages in Gmail Notifier Pro can be accessed from any RSS reader. Simply use a RSS reader, either on a PC, smart phone or tablet and connect it to your computer running Gmail Notifier Pro to get access to the latest unread messages.
  • This release also improves the customization. Notification theme can be defined using rules. A rule could for example be to set a theme with sound notification if the subject line of an e-mail message starts with the word 'Important'. This release also support defining custom actions for message operations, where multiple operations can be combined.

  • This release introduces better support for deployment in enterprise environments. Configuration templates can be used to define custom settings to be used by default. There is also a tool available for customizing the MSI package to include the configuration template.
  • A change in the new version is the default location for storing user settings. For new installations where no existing configuration is available, the user roaming folder will be used to store the user settings.
  • There are also updates to the names of the supported services. Google Drive is the new name for Google Docs and Microsoft is about to migrate the Live Hotmail users to Outlook.com.   • Gmail Notifier Pro can now be registered as default program for e-mail in Windows, supporting commands like Sent to Mail recipient in the Windows shell. Applications that supports sending documents by e-mail via MAPI, like Microsoft Office, will now be able to use Gmail Notifier Pro for sending.
  • Previous versions of Gmail Notifier Pro only supported mailto-links. The settings for registering as handler for mailto-link is replaced by the setting to register as default program for e-mail in Windows. By registering as default e-mail program, mailto-links can also be handled. For users upgrading from previous versions, the setting to use Gmail Notifier Pro as default program for e-mail is not enabled by default.
  • Another new feature is the new account setting for adding an extra icon to the notification area. This icon will display the number of unread messages for the selected account. For important e-mail accounts, this can be useful to see the exact amount of unread messages all the time.

  • Introduces several very useful features and enhancements.
  • Fully automatic login when launching Gmail in the web browser. This feature supports multiple accounts and you will never have to type your password again.
  • Google Reader support. As Atom/RSS and Google News was supported already, the natrual step was to add support for Google Reader accounts as well. Just like Google News, you will get notifications when news or other feed items arrives.
  • Direct links to mail for IMAP accounts. In previous versions of Gmail Notifier Pro, it was only possible to directly launch a specific mail in the web browser when Gmail Atom was used. Now the same feature is implemented for IMAP. Please note that the direct links will only work for mail downloaded after the new version was installed.
  • It's not possible to configure if new mail should be composed in Gmail Notifier Pro or by launching a web browser with the Compose Mail page in Gmail.
  • There are also several other small improvements, like icons in the popup menus.

  • Adds support for Google Calendar, Google News and RSS/Atom news feeds. This release also contains many improvements, corrections and new settings.
  • The new Google Calendar support gives reminders for calendar events. It's possible to dismiss events or snooze for a period of time.
  • Google News and RSS/Atom news feed support gives popups for news items - similar to the popups for new mail. For Google News you simply select a country and a news category, and you will receive relevant news.

  • Version 1.3 introduces several new settings for launching the web browser. One of the new settings is to store the account password in Windows Clipboard for a short period of time when launching Gmail, to make the login procedure faster when multiple accounts are used. Another new feature is the selection of which web browser to use when opening Gmail and other web pages.
  • The settings for accounts are also improved for easier configuration and IMAP accounts can now monitor specific labels (folders).
