- Version 3 also allows the ability to create fortune files which will print in italics, boldface, and underline. To make a part of a fortune print in italics, surround the part which should be in italics with and . (For example, if your fortune says "You will enjoy great success in this life," and you want the word "great" to be in italics, your fortune file should have a line which reads "You will enjoy great success in this life." To print a word or phrase in bold, use "" and " or to underline a word or phrase, use "" and "".
