Once installed, the configuration window shows up, taking you through a wizard-driven process so you choose how many clocks to display, and for what regions. One or more tray icons are added to the tray area, each representing a specific location you defined in the configuration process. Don’t worry, all settings can be changed with ease.

Bringing up the options menu can be done for every clock. The set of options is the same, but apply to the selected clock. As such, you get to configure time differences, color, time, date, display, order of display, and alarms. What’s more, interacting with a tray icon can bring up a calendar, but with no option to set events.

There’s a decent variety of customization options at your disposal. There’s the possibility to choose from a palette of colors, or in more technical approaches, to define how time and date are displayed, as well as the clock format. The initial wizard is launched at the press of a button for quick configuration.

Your computer can be synchronized to a custom time server, and the application does come with several suggestions of its own. The only downside to the whole operation is that you need to manually set time differences for all selected regions, but this is only if you don’t choose to synchronize time, case in which an active Internet connection is required.

All things considered, we can state InstantTimeZone is a practical application, bundling together multiple clocks, as well as the possibility to set alarms, and view calendars.
