Recover lost or forgotten passwords from Internet Explorer, Outlook, Outlook Express, MS Access, Total Commander, Far Manager, and more. #Recover password #Retrieve password #Folder recovery #Recovery #Retrieve #Picker
ABF Password Recovery is an application designed to recover lost or forgotten passwords saved in your computer. It works with Internet Explorer (HTTP and FTP), Outlook Express (mail, news, LDAP), Outlook (LDAP, PST), Access (MDB files), Total Commander (FTP acounts), and Far Manager (FTP accounts).
It also contains tools for revealing hidden passwords, viewing keys saved for dial-up connections, and for decrypting Personal Folder files (PST format). Before proceeding any further, you should know that the application hasn't received updates for a very long time.
Following a speedy setup operation, you're welcomed by a plain and simple interface, where all components and options are neatly organized in a sidebar on the left.
If Outlook is correctly installed on your computer, the app automatically identifies all saved passwords and shows them in the main window so you don't have to configure any settings to make this happen. The same rule applies to Total Commander, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, and Far Manager.
When it comes to Microsoft Access, you can use the integrated file browser to locate and open a password-protected MDB database file. Worth noting is that it's not mandatory to have Access installed for this to work.
As far as the remaining tools are concerned, you can open PST files to recover the passwords, view hidden passwords, use a password picker to unmask any keys hidden under asterisk by dragging a picker icon over their fields, as well as recover passwords stored for your dial-up connections based on the username and domain.
The interface can be customized when it comes to the text color and gradient of the header and sidebar options, hide icons or move them to the left, make the icons small, enable group highlights, and so on. Multiple UI languages are supported.
Too bad that ABF Password Recovery hasn't been updated for a long time and doesn't offer support for more popular web browsers and other tools. On the bright side, it had minimal impact on the computer's performance and worked smoothly in our tests on Windows 10.
