Color Cop

Color Cop is an intuitive and portable application that supplies users with an eye dropper, whether we are talking about web designers, programmers or graphic editors. Its features can be effortlessly figured out.

As installation is not mandatory, you can just extract the archive contents to any location on the hard drive and run the executable file directly.

Alternatively, you can save Color Cop to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, and run it on any computer without prior installments. Thus, you can keep the tool with you whenever you're on the move.

The most important aspect is that the Windows Registry section does not receive entry updates, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after removing the tool.

The interface of the application is represented by a small window with an uncomplicated layout. All you have to do is drag a color picker tool to any position on the screen to find out its RGB and hexadecimal values, as well as use a magnification glass and increase or decrease it.

An important feature of Color Cop is that it saves the last 7 selected colors. Plus, you can add a custom color with the help of the color palette. Other options are available through the context menu. For example, you can switch to another color mode (e.g. HTML, Delphi or Visual C++ hex, PowerBuilder), increase or decrease the multi-pixel average, as well as make the app automatically run at the system startup, to name but a few.

No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the app did not hang or crash; we haven't experienced any problems throughout our testing. Although Color Cop has not been updated for a pretty long time, it provides users with an effective solution to using a color picker for their websites or presentations.
