Flash Video Studio

Flash Video Studio is an application which enables you to create Flash Video files (SWF or FLV) from various formats, including AVI, WMV, ASF, MPG and MOV.

The interface of the tool is plain and uncomplicated; opening a video clip can be done with the help of the file browser only, since the 'drag and drop' function is not supported. Unfortunately, you cannot work with multiple items at the same time.

You can preview the clip in a built-in media player, disable the app from importing the audio stream, capture frames, as well as view details concerning the clip's dimension, frame rate, duration, frequency, channel mode and current position.

You can adjust the brightness and contrast levels, crop and rotate videos, as well as apply effects (e.g. blur, grayscale, buttonize, ocean, oil painting).

You can apply an image or text watermark, configure audio and video settings (e.g. format, quality, bit rate, sample rate, channel mode, fade, resolution), add events and chapters, as well as load subtitles, just to name a few.

From the 'Preferences' area, you can make Flash Video Studio open the target folder or to preview results when the task is done, as well as change the default video publishing quality.

The program needs a high amount of system resources, has a good response time, finishes a task in reasonable time and includes user documentation. We have not come across any errors during our evaluation and Flash Video Studio did not freeze or crash. First-time users may need some time to get familiarized with the app's features.
