Taskbar Labels is a small desktop enhancement utility designed specifically for Windows 7 users that helps them reveal the text beside each icon of applications running in the taskbar.

Taskbar Labels comes bundled in a portable package which can be deployed on your system by simply running the executable file. No entries are recorded in your Windows registry.

Copying the utility on any USB flash drive or other devices is also possible. You may get rid of it by simply deleting the files that you have downloaded from the Internet.

You can find the utility sitting quietly in your system tray. Right-clicking on its icon helps you get quick access to the configuration panel.

There’s no feature included in the package that can help you run the application at Windows startup so you need to manually place it in the startup folder. It doesn’t include a help manual but you don’t need one to decode the program’s features, as they are highly intuitive.

Taskbar Labels gives you the possibility to show or hide the text in the taskbar using a preset hotkey (Ctrl+F11). You may easily reassign the hotkey from the configuration panel.

Tests have shown that the program executes a task very quickly and without errors. It leaves minimal footprint on system resources, so your computer performance is not affected. You may leave it running in the background and quickly press the designed hotkey for turning on or off the text mode.
