In the step 4 of the backup creation wizard, you have to set a target directory for the created backups. The target can be either on the local harddisk, on a CD/DVD or by FTP. 

In the Program Configuration tab, you can customize the application's behavior according to your needs and preferences. 

The Report Configuration tab lets you select the report style, the report visibility and the default directory. 

The Other tab in Backup Maker's Configuration window allows you to enable the logfile creation and the internal protocol.
