JaMP Player

JaMP Player is a lightweight application that enables you to play your favorite songs in a simple to use environment. The software features a simplistic interface that offers the basic commands required for controlling the media player in a convenient way. You can easily add or remove files from the playlist and sort them alphabetically.

While featuring a minimalistic interface, that you can only resize in height, JaMP Player offers you the basic commands for controlling the playback and the succession of the songs in the playlist. Moreover, you can enable the shuffle option, repeat the list when it reaches the last file or play the songs in random order.

The random, shuffle and loop functions can only be selected one at a time, so you cannot enable all of them at the same time. However, the changes take place as soon as you select one of the options and you do not need to restart the program. The number of songs in the playlist, and the position of the current playing song are displayed in the bar at the bottom of the software’s window.

The software allows you to customize the playlist by adding or removing songs, as well as sorting them alphabetically. The indicator of the playback position and the total song duration are displayed at the bottom of the window, right below the Search field.

JaMP Player also features an equalizer function that you can enable/disable, hide or unhide. The equalizer allows you to change the pitch of the sound on multiple frequencies. Most often, the pitches influence the sound in different genres, or according to the output devices: small speakers or subwoofers.

Even though JaMP Player does not support rendering video files, or skins, the software allows you to listen to your favorite songs, create playlists and save them to your computer. Moreover, the software supports a multitude of audio formats, including lossless audio files, MP3, OGG, WMA, BWF or AIFF. Additional formats, such as AC3, AAC, M4A or TTA are supported only on 32-bit machines.
