The program features three columns displaying each event's description, time, date and time remaining. Though the window can be resized, the columns' width cannot be manually altered. Accessing the right-click menu enables users to sort events in ascending or descending order, by description or by date. It is also possible to toggle the program's 'always on top' behavior and import or export events by accessing the same menu. Events can be imported or exported as plain text files.

In order to create, edit or delete events, one must access the above mentioned menu and select the appropriate item. Adding or editing events is a simple and intuitive process. Users need to provide the event's time and can select whether the application should display an alert window or play a sound file from their hard drive.

The application can also make use of third-party installed software in order to display animated assistants along with the alarm window of pronounce a custom phrase using text-to-speech.

Installing Karen's E-Mailer II grants the program the ability to send you email notifications.
