SONY Vegas Pro's main window displays the application menu and toolbars, the file manager, a preview of your selected video file and the video explorer panel. 

The Insert menu allows you to select the object to insert into your video file from a wide range of objects provided: Audio/Video Envelopes, Audio Bus, Text Media, Marker, etc. 

The Tools menu gives you access to various additional features of the application, including Preview in Player, Clean Up Prerendered Video, Print Video to Tape, etc. 

The Video Project Properties tab lets you customize a large variety of video settings: template, width, height, pixel format, compositing gamma and many others. 

In the Audio Properties tab, you can select the master bus mode, the number of stereo busses, smaple rate, bit depth abd some other audio settings. 

The Options menu provides you with a large variety of possibilities to configure the application to fit your own taste and needs. 

The General Preferences tab enables you to customize the application's behavior according to your needs. 

In the Audio Preferences tab, you can set some audio options, choose the preferred audio editor and the metronome sounds to use. 

The Editing Preferences tab eables you to modify multiple settings related to the video editing process. 

The Display Preferences tab lets you customize the track colors, the envelope colors, the snap colors, and also the icon color saturation and the icon color tint.
