The main window of Subtitle Workshop displays the application menu and toolbars and the selected subtitle file, showing the timings and the corresponding text. 

The Edit menu lets you customize various options regarding the subtitle timings or texts. 

From the View menu you can select the toolbars that you want to have visible in Subtitle Workshop's main window. 

The Tools menu gives you access to some additional features of the application, including Spell Check and Pascal Scripts. 

If you enable the Video Preview option from the View menu, you can actually see the movie while you are editing the subtitles. 

The Duration limits tab in Subtitle Workshop's Timings window allows you to set both a minimum and a maximum duration for the selected subtitles. 

The Time expander/reducer tab in Subtitle Workshop's Timings window allows you to expand or reduce the duration of the selected subtitles.
