AnyPassword

AnyPassword is a program that enables you to place all your passwords in a secured environment that can be only accessed by you.

This type of software is necessary the moment you share your computer with multiple users, since it offers a much-needed level of privacy.

The interface of the application is very plain and simple to use. The first thing you should be interested in is setting a master password.

You can create and rename folders, as well as add a password, along with the user or account name, URL, file or program, and comment.

You can mask the password and generate a random one (according to the filters you apply), as well as use the undo, cut, copy and paste functions.

You can enable read-only mode, save data in the AnyPassword format, import or export information to CSV, use a search function, as well as disable the menu, toolbar or status bar.

The simple application requires a very low amount of system resources, and includes a comprehensive help file with snapshots. But it also supports keyboard shortcuts and several languages for the interface. It didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests. We haven't come across any problems.

Putting aside the interface which could use some major improvements, since it's outdated,  AnyPassword is a pretty good tool when it comes to storing passwords. It may not offer any outstanding features, but it is simple to use by individuals of all levels and gets the job done. We strongly recommend it.
