This title here doesn't say much to me. At least not at first sight. But what's good is that this game could replace
many a bigger game like World of Warcraft, Lineage 2 or who knows what other MMORPG.

From what we know, Furcadia is a magical world where animals have learned to walk on two legs and speak - how intriguing. Now the next step is clearly the testing one. In order to do that, you need to create your own customizable avatar.

Despite being a mini-game, the customizing menu was pretty rich. I had lots of colors to choose from (meaning the color of the fur of the animal I would have played with). After that, I had lots of other colors to choose for the eyes of my character. The same happened with the "mule tan" and the hair. Yes, there is a difference between the color of the fur that your body is covered with and the color of the hair that probably covers the fur over your head. The point is... you have a hairdo too.

Also you can choose what genre you wanna be: male, female or "unspecified" - and that's a creature that just looks too feminine for a "dude" and too boyish for a female char. But hey, there's nothing wrong with a bit of identity crisis in a virtual "magic" world. Maybe the fairy-furry-god-mother will come, kiss the androgen creature and turn into the king/queen of the realm.

Going back to business, the players can also choose the species of the "beast" they want to play with. So, in this category we have: bovine, canine, equine, feline, lapine (probably wannabe werewolves), musteline, rodents (oh, that must be fun) and Sciurine/Mephit (don't ask). I would have preferred Vampire... Oh yes, this is an animal world, not necessary "critter" world. Well then... A dragon will do! But I guess that could cause the server to crash. A big red dragon, spitting flames and burning the town down. Not good for business.

Well anyway, from this point here you just have to choose the colors of the clothes your char is wearing and everything is set. I recommend the customizing part, because otherwise, you end up with a violet fury character with violet clothes that looks just like a mutant that got out of the nuclear glowing component.

Good, now that our hero is done and ready it's time to start exploring the friendly, graphical environment with rich, player-driven content - at least so they say. Well, I found out pretty quickly that they were right. There's a lot of vegetation going on in the game. It's like living in the Amazonian forest, but with Elven temples around and fairy dust sprinkling out.

Depending of what character you created, besides walking around like crazy, you can do also stuff like sit or jump or pick up objects or sleep. But that's just too fun to see. It's like seeing an old wizard from WoW dancing on some '80s song.

So now you ask: what can you do in a place like this? Well, what else than interact with other furry creatures and play some games? Isn't it obvious enough? The main feature is the role-play game that will take part in this medieval setting. The creators advise users to be themselves and socialize with other players, participate in games, make friends, join then guilds, tell stories and meet interesting people from all over the world!

Though there is another great feature for those who have a lot of imagination and free time of course. They can even use the game's building tool to create their own world and make it real and accessible to other Furcadia members. That's pretty simple since Furcadia is a fully graphical, Massively Multi-player Online Social Game (MMOSG) with an isometric perspective, making it easy to interact with others.

The fantasy theme appeals to all ages and makes Furcadia an online experience for the whole family. Not to have problems about this area, the game has low system requirements and an easy-to-use interface.

For all these, you just have to download the game, choose a nickname for your character, validate it with an e-mail address and... press play. Have fun everybody!

for all ages? Seriously? Do you know that furcadia is prowled by pedophiles and sex crazed fanatics?

Someone needs to get their information straight and fast.
