Not that fresh, but straight from the Zylom game labs, we have this week's game, called "The Legend of El Dorado", the Deluxe version... And of course it's a puzzle.

The story of this game puts you in the shoes of an assistant. You must help a so called Dr. Van Hutton to locate a treasure buried in the rainforest in South America (where else?).

Far from being an original idea, this game that has the
same 3-in-a-row gameplay, gets pretty enjoyable and probably this is because everything goes pretty smooth and relaxing.

Even if many players can be used to the gameplay of Bejeweled, where you have to clean the board by swapping three or more gems, the rules of this one here are very easy to learn and nobody will have any difficulty while playing.

When you get into the game you'll see right away that this is not more than a gem-swapping game, one of those that you know so well. You will get a multicolored board filled with pieces, in our case "sundiscs". Your main job is to click on at least two adjoining same-colored pieces. Those two can be vertical or horizontal and once they're clicked they will disappear.

Of course new sundiscs will take their places, filling up the board. To clear a level you must break all the gold plates that are behind the sundiscs and do that before time runs out.

For less confusing levels, each board of every level has a different shape. Some of them are pretty easy, but some of them will get pretty difficult. At one point you'll come across individual pillars. In this case, it will be slightly hard to align two or more sundiscs. Now is the time when you have to rely on the power-ups.

The power-ups in this game will "fall" on your hands every few levels and they will have the "shape" of some bonus tile pieces, such as blue gems. These gems will add extra points to the score if you can manage to drop them to the bottom of the board before time runs out.

Another power-up is an hourglass, which, of course, adds a few seconds more to the timer. The shining sun will automatically give you extra life and the bomb will make all the sundiscs and gold plates explode on a vertical and horizontal row and if you're lucky even both.

But like I said in the beginning, this is not such a great game. After hours of playing (and even for many minutes), the gameplay doesn't change that much, plus there are no real challenges. The power-ups are the only things that can keep you going. Another bad news is that there is only one game mode, when the most casual games have at least two or even more.

No matter how you look at it and say "this is not bad", in the end you just wish there could be more. Before you put your money on this one, try the free version and see if this is a thing for you.

Enjoy!
