14 DAY TRIAL // I don't like leaving tracks, usually. I am not a criminal, but I like to keep my computer and my house as clean as possible. Of course there are some problems with the time to be spent for these operations, especially when I have to clean my house. Anyway, today we're going to talk about cleaning our computers.
Thus, our target will not be a system optimizer or a file shredder, but still a program that helps cleaning our computers. To be more specific, it cleans our browsing history tracks. Although I am a bit hungry, I don't think this program is going to help me. Powerful Cookies can remove your Internet activity tracks and securely delete all the related files stored on your computer. Let's see it at work now!
The interface of this program is clean and easy to use. No matter the window you're in, the program will display a text area with tips, sometimes accompanied by the description of the current item.
Once you have started the program, first thing to do is scan your system. This can be done using the Scan button, of course. When scanning is complete, you can choose which items to remove and then purge them.
It's just as easy as that, but this program's power is not coming from its ease of use. Powerful Cookies is a highly customizable application, allowing you to change its settings in order to achieve the best possible results. Let's see what we can do...
Usually when you want to clear your tracks you won't have second thoughts. For this purpose Powerful Cookies allows you to shred your files using DOD, NSA or Gutmann methods. If you want to overwrite your files over fifty times, let's say, you can define a custom number of operations to be performed.
A hotel room is cleaned when needed and also at fixed hours. It would be nice to do the same with your tracks! We already covered the "cleaning on request" problem above. Now let's solve the other one...
Scheduling is a big time saver when you need to do repetitive operations. You just set your cleaning options once, minimize the program to system tray and it's on! No need to worry about that task from now on, your tracks will be covered on a regular basis.
You may also need to keep cookies for some sites, and if you think that this is not possible, think again! Just go to the Settings area, select the Keep Cookies tab and choose the cookies you want to keep! Same strategy applies to the files that you don't want to be erased.
The items to be cleaned can be configured manually in order to gain greater control. Windows, Internet and Custom Items or Third Party Applications are possible garbage sources that can be handled by Powerful Cookies.

The program has a clean interface, lots of powerful features and a decent price. You always have tips on your screen, so you can't get lost. This trial version is limited to 10 days, but you get to test all that you get after registering.
The Bad
The text boxes with tips don't look so well in my opinion. Apart from this, I didn't find any problem.
The Truth
Powerful Cookies is a small program that doesn't claim to be the best in its category or to do everything for you, from washing the car to taking kids to school. It does one job and it does it well. I advice you to try it for free and buy it if you like it, it won't waste your time or money, no matter your decision!
