  • Advertising Spot Feature:
  • We have included a new option that allows you to integrate popup ads into your magazine. You can add images of your ads with URL links and when readers open specific pages they are presented with a link to the relevant URL. Upon launch of your magazine you can have the advert appear as in the image below; prominent over the magazine; and the magazine grays our in the background until the reader closed the advert by clicking on the x button.
  • Single User Login:
  • We have enhanced the user subscription portal to allow you to set logins to be restricted on an issue by issue basis. Great for clients who sell per issue rather than annual subscription.

New in 3D Issue Professional 7.0 (May 19, 2015)

  • Hot Folder:
  • Drag and drop a PDF into a specified location on your desktop, 3D Issue then auto creates this PDF into a 3D Issue publication, saving you that, one of the most precious of commodities, time! The DropBox style automatic converter allows publishers to simply drop PDFs into a ‘Hot’ folder on their computer and have it automatically published onto their site completely removing all interaction with the main software.
  • Hubs:
  • Version 7 has added a brand new facet to its already considerable armory, it goes by the name of Hubs; Hubs creates a responsive digital magazine to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, RSS feeds, websites and much more. An innovative, unique marketing hub which can be assembled in a manner of minutes but will constantly update your content offerings ensuring the consumer is kept aware of all the latest developments within your field of expertise. All this without you having to lift a finger after the initial set up process has been carried out.
  • To truly resonate with your potential consumers you are going to have to go that extra yard in terms of not only the content you create but also in the delivery said content. Consumers have access to more devices and through these, different mediums than ever before; businesses and brands have to ensure that they are reaching out through all these portals to maximize reach and coverage.
  • It defeats the purpose of spending all that time and money creating outstanding content and then finding the consumer can’t view it on the device they prefer. Utilizing Hubs for your branded content will enable you to not only create the content, but also ensuring it is viewable across whatever device the consumer chooses to view it on.
  • Reader Analytics:
  • Version 7 launches our very own digital magazine stats portal; you can analyze the performance of your 3D Issues easily to determine what works best! This not only gives publishers and marketers invaluable insights into what it is that is interesting the consumer but vitally, also gives them a clear indication of what type of content they should be supplying in the future leading to higher rates of consumer retention and return visits to their businesses.
  • The enhancements don’t end there; the new release of the software also includes an eBook creator which harnesses the latest advancements of ePub3 and kindle formats. Ereaders devices and apps are quickly establishing themselves as a serious channel to market and this is something version 7 was built to embrace with some aplomb.
  • Cloud Hosting:
  • Don’t have the resources to host your own 3D Issues? Don’t worry; with V7 you can upload your publications to our cloud service. Our new cloud hosting service allows you clients to harness our Amazon EC2 cloud so all you have to do is provide the content.

New in 3D Issue Professional 6.3 (May 19, 2015)

  • Telephone Number hotspots/buttons:
  • Now when a user adds a PDF to 3D Issue 6.3 it will automatically detect all the phone numbers in that PDF and draw a hotspot around each one. If the text is not extractable, (non-vector based), or the user wants to add more numbers in Design View, they can manually add a phone button or hotspot to these pages. County codes are added from a drop down menu for ease of use for the user. When the end reader clicks on the hotspot or button in the finished publication, the browser will attempt to open the default phone software on the reader’s machine (usually Skype).
  • HTML5 hotspot/button:
  • The ability to add a button or hotspot that links to a HTML5 animation has been included in version 6.3; this can be carried out either online or offline through a local folder that contains the animation files.
  • Embedded HTML 5:
  • The animation will play embedded within the HTML5 version of the publication. The flash version will be slightly different, in the flash version the animation will play in a pop up window.
  • We have not only added new features to version 6.3 but we have also updated some of the existing features. The digital marketplace is constantly changing and we have updated certain features within the software to reflect this ever changing landscape and to keep you, the consumer at the forefront of publishing technology.
  • Updates to existing features:
  • Custom Link Detection:
  • The custom link detection has now been updated to allow the user to enter a custom link that will detect Shopping Cart hotspots based on SKUs where the SKU is the catalog number within a catalog.
  • Insert at:
  • When adding new PDF files to an existing issue, the ability to enter the location where the new pages are placed has now been introduced. For example, you create an issue that has 10 pages. You then wish to add a further PDF with 2 pages where these pages will replace pages 2 and 3 and make the existing 2 and 3 now become pages 4 and 5. To do this a dialog is displayed to the user to ask them where the new pages are to be placed, At End, At Start, Before Page (x) or After Page (x)
  • At 3D Issue we are continuously striving to improve on our already high standards and we believe that version 6.3 offers the consumer even more value, innovation and cutting edge technology than ever before.
