  • Backup:
  • In certain circumstances an error may occur after the backup.

  • The cancellation of the password window during the automatic opening

  • added after sorting a column.

  • A button is now available.

  • Category:
  • It is now possible to specify in which modules a category will be displayed when you add one. For the categories already existing simply modify them to have access to visibility options.
  • Individual License:
  • The Individual License now allows up to 2 simultaneous connections with the data file to allow the use of ABIX on home networks with 2 computers connected.
  • Network License:
  • The Network License is now valid for 10 users and allows up to 10 simultaneous connections to the data file.
  • List of Connexions:
  • It is now possible to see the list of computers that are currently connected to the data file by going in the menu Utilities/List of Connexions.
  • Grid - Grouping:
  • Grouping options were added to most of the grids in ABIX. Simply right-click on the header of a column to access the grouping options for this column. You can then right-click a group line for other grouping options.
  • Printing:
  • If you print the contents of a grid which have some grouping only visible lines (which are not reduced in a group) will be printed.
  • Display and printing font:
  • ABIX now uses the Tahoma font for display and printing improvement. You can disable this in the menu.
  • Some minor fixes and improvements were made.

  • The Table module allows you to create custom tables with up to 20 fields to record all kinds of data.
  • Some minor fixes and improvements have been made.

New in ABIX 6.77.00 (Jun 15, 2010)

  • The option for ABIX automatic startup now uses registry instead of
  • the Startup folder to improve compatibility.
  • A second filter button has been added for more visibility.
  • A too large Note field no longer causes an error when printing in
  • table format.
  • After a task is completed you can change the date of completion.
  • The due date of a task now appears in the agenda.
  • The address fields "Home" and "Office" and have been renamed for
  • "Primary" and "Secondary" to adapt to different types of contact.

  • The Task module has been completely redesigned!
  • Fields "Status" and "% Completed" have been added.
  • Table mode has been improved and all columns can be sorted and
  • moved.
  • Several categories can be assigned to a task.
  • An automatic repetition according to several criteria can be scheduled for a task.
  • A filter button located to the left of the task list title can toggle between the list of completed tasks, active tasks and upcoming tasks.

  • Task section:
  • The button "Delete completed tasks since more than 1 year" allows a clean up in the task list.
  • Some minor fixes and improvements have been made.

New in ABIX 6.69.01 (Feb 10, 2010)

  • A view has been added.
  • In the menu it is now possible to indicate ABIX to shorten the events description in the Month view, but the events tooltips will continue to display the complete events description.
  • It is now possible to hide the ended events.
  • Now the button deletes the events terminated since more than 1 year instead of 1 month.
  • Contacts images can now be printed.
  • Some small corrections and minor improvements were made.

New in ABIX 6.68.00 (Nov 25, 2009)

  • It is now possible to add images in the Contact module (Image tab) by using the Image Manager. In the Options menu you can specify a folder reserved for images if you do not want to use the one determined by ABIX.
  • An error occurred on some occasion when ABIX was configured to open automatically at Windows startup. A delay of 30 seconds at the opening of ABIX has been added in this specific case to allow time for Windows to complete its startup. This delay can be changed in the menu Options|Preferences|Startup.
  • The conversion of a Consumption from Imperial system to Metric was wrong, it is now corrected.
  • Some small corrections and minor improvements were made.

  • With a simple mouse click you can locate a contact's address in Google Maps.
  • The phones fields have been expanded to 40 characters.
  • It is now possible to restore a special backup taken automatically by ABIX at some occasions, like for example before an upgrade.
  • For each anniversary you can choose to display it or not in the Agenda.
  • Some small corrections and minor improvements were made.

  • The menu item can prepare an email to send to your

  • license we will give you a free update license.
  • The error log and version history were transferred to the Help menu.
  • The window can now send us the error details by email
  • so that you can make the necessary corrections.
  • Previously the ABIX datafiles were stored in the ABIX program
  • folder. Starting with this release the datafiles (and other ABIX
  • files) will be stored in a folder named ABIX which will be created
  • in your Documents folder. If appropriate already existing datafiles
  • will be automatically copied in this new folder.

  • Several fields have been added.

  • The phone numbers and Internet links are accessible with only one mouse click.
  • You can assign several categories to a contact.
  • You can enter up to 5 birthdays for each contact, with the possibility to transpose them in Anniversary module.

  • In the window it is now possible to add, modify or delete an event. It is also possible to clean up the events by automatically deleting all the events terminated since more than 30 days.
  • Card and Memo:
  • A option has been added to facilitate the text formatting by using a fixed font instead of a proportional font.
  • Backup:
  • The backup now detect if a location is in mode and display a warning message if it is the case.

New in ABIX 6.62.01 (Dec 2, 2008)

  • A new graphic printing tool with screen preview has been developed and will gradually replace the old reports in ABIX. This new tool allow the selection of font size and paper orientation for each report and the report auto-ajust itself to fit on the paper. Furthermore the screen preview allow the selection of which pages to print. The new reports below use this new tools.
  • The agenda report has been rewritten and improved to print in color and take into account the first day of the week. It is also possible to print the events table.
  • A new update window has been added to facilitate data entry. It is now possible to print the anniversary table and also to choose which column to print. A new "Decease" type has been added.
