The application will not freeze and you will be able to switch to another file or leave View mode to recover. We have reported this issue to Microsoft as it appears to be outside of our control.

Known Issues:
Actions Browser can only be invoked in one instance of ACDSee in Manage mode.
Drag and drop from mobile devices to Windows Explorer does not work, but dragging and dropping from mobile devices within ACDSee is supported.
In some cases, in Windows 7 and 8, when the camera is connected to the computer via a USB cable, the Import tool may fail to display media files and will not copy them. In these cases, we recommend copying items from these devices to your computer with Windows Explorer, or importing media through a card reader.
ACDSee uses the base layer’s color profile for any additional layers.
.acdc format is not supported in Develop mode.
In the ACDSee Layered Editor, masks cannot be added when using the Move tool.
Watermark shows an incorrect preview in certain scenarios.
Color images turn to black and white when added as layers on grayscale images.
It is recommended that you restart ACDSee after importing a Lightroom database.
Reset Layout does not reset multiple image baskets.
Keyword fields are limited to 64 characters.
If a video cannot be decoded, it will not be returned by the Video Special Items search.
UTF-16 files missing a byte order mark cannot be imported as a keyword list.

With the addition of adjustment layers, Edit mode's Layered Editor becomes your center for visionary non-destructive photo manipulation. Add layers specifically built to achieve individual adjustments, with the ability to retouch them at any point. Adjust each layer individually, re-order layers, change their mask, opacity, and blend modes at any time. With a number of lighting, color, special effects, clarity, skin tuning, vignetting, sharpening, blurring, and noise removal adjustment layers added, you are well-equipped to fearlessly innovate.
ACDSee Actions — Automate with Ease:
Save your precious time on repetitive tasks with ACDSee Actions. Record literally any steps you make in Edit mode and apply them to other images, essentially recreating an entire editing process with a single click. Preview the results your recordings would have on any image before applying. Export your recordings to as many files as you like in an array of file types. While Batch Edit only contained a handful of adjustments, you can now record and batch-apply any of Edit mode's 200+ adjustments. Distortion Doctoring with Lens Correction:
Correct barrel and pincushion distortion in digital photographs with the ultimate accuracy: automatic correction specific to the lens used to take the photo. ACDSee Ultimate 9 lists the possible lenses for your camera's make and model and applies the correction specially formulated to fix the particular distortion inherent to that lens — even fixing chromatic aberration. Map this correction to your lens and set Develop mode to correct every time, no attention required.
