  • The Windows Setup has been enhanced in two ways:
  • Starting from now the default language after Setup is no longer this one of the Windows system but this one selected at the beginning of the Setup.
  • A new option is proposed at the end of the installation: if selected, each time user connects an USB storage media, ARCHEOTES automatically identify this storage media and compare it's volume name to to the volume name specified in the configuration of ARCHEOTES. If identical, user is prompted to immediatly perform the backup on this storage media. Then it is no longer required to manually launch the backup.

New in ARCHEOTES 2.0.0 RC 4 (Mar 26, 2014)

  • This Release Candidate revision fixes an incompatibility of revisions 2.0.0.RC.3 or below with high capacity backup disc drive units up to 4 Giga bytes size.
  • This revision offers a graphic interface, based on GTK library, for all modules. Thus this graphic interface is now available on both Windows and too Linux platforms with Python software installed.
  • The Configurator has been completely redesigned, whith an enhanced graphic interface available, too, on both Windows and Linux platforms allowing user to easily configure his backup.
  • The Restore utility has been completely redesigned, whith an enhanced graphic interface available, too, on both Windows and Linux platforms and including a confortable tree representation of the available files for restoration, thus allowing user to easily select what he wants to restore.
