Sep 1, 2023- New weather provider (primarily for non-USA locations): OpenWeatherMap.org
- NWS service considers a new list of weather stations that may provide more accurate results in some locations
- NWS service incorporates statistics to learn which weather stations may not be reliable (as far as availability) and not use them
- NWS service: user can now block stations and set stations to have higher priority (folder: settingsstatsNws_Stations.ini)
- NWS weather data would sometimes show forecast with hi/lo temperatures being the same (e.g. 53/53) when forecast data for the time period is unavailable; it will now show "-"
- DPI-related fixes: tray icon when using 2 lines; desklet (larger weather); mini calendars on main interface
- Options for "hourly-weather unavailable" have been removed
- Updates to how checking for new version works (can include a download url and information)
- Misc changes and fixes
- If a reminder notification timed out (no user interaction) after 5 minutes, Aeris will not show that reminder popup when user clicks on tray icon

- Three custom URLs can be added to the weather page (configure in Options / Weather)
- Double-clicking on weather forecast in calendar opens detailed weather page in your browser
- Moon phases can be based on your local timezone (configure in Options / General)
- Moon phase time is displayed when mouse is hovered over moon icon in calendar
- High-res icon has been added for Vista/Win7

- Improvements to the main calendar GUI:
- The calendar days that are not in the current month are shaded
- Previous calendar days have a slash through them
- The current calendar day is shaded a different color
- The current weekday is highlighted
- Moon phases
- New and user-selectable weather icons
- Larger, bolder fonts for easier reading
- User-selectable font size
- Graphics are now rendered with alpha-blending for better quality
- Event Editor:
- Event icons can be displayed on the calendar
- Event themes can be specified for the calendar background on the day of the event
- Multiple dates can be specified for a single event
- Easter is now an available date (to allow additional holidays such as Lent, Good Friday, etc.)
- Reminders can be associated with an event (e.g. to remind you to buy a birthday gift)
- "Add Event" Wizard now makes it easier to add common events like birthdays and anniversaries
- Birthdays and anniversaries can show the age on the calendar
- Reminders:
- New option, "every," allows a reminder every ## days
- New option to specify an executable to launch when reminder occurs (e.g. task scheduling)
- "Missed Reminders" informs you of the reminders activated when your system was powered down
- Reminders can be "snoozed"
- Themes:
- Any image can be used as the background image
- Option for random themes
- A event-specific theme can be used on the day of the event
- "Most Recently Used" list of themes
- The desklet color can automatically color-coordinate with the current theme
- Print the calendar
- An analog clock is available (default)
- Review all notes in a single window
- Easier navigation, including the capability to enter a specific date
- More detailed information when you hover over elements in the calendar
