- Tree: the ability to build a family tree only on the male line or only on the female line
- Tree: if there is no marriage, but there are common children, a straight line between a man and a woman is not drawn
- Tree: twin brothers and twin sisters are marked in the tree and in the information window
- Search: the order of words in the search bar is not important anymore: the search goes on each of the entered words. To search an exact phrase use double quotes around the phrase or tick Search exact phrase option in the program options window

- How to show your family tree to your relatives? Family tree can be printed or saved in graphics format. The latest version of Agelong Tree offers a better option: interactive family tree in HTML format.
- You can open the saved HTML file in any browser (Google Chrome etc), you can zoom it without quality loss, and you can search text in it. When you click a person, you will see a window with all information about the chosen person, with all photos and links. The interactive HTML family tree can be viewed on any device that has a browser: computer, tablet, smartphone, smart TV. Besides, you can publish the saved family tree on your site! We used Agelong Tree to save Princess Diana’s family tree and then we uploaded it to our website
- The latest Agelong Tree version also allows to check the correctness of data. Check your data, you may find some errors

- If there are any near anniversaries, you will see a bright dot on the “All actions” button in the main program window

- The events are grouped by date, there are photos of main participants or of the event itself. This report can be opened in browser and printed, as well as any other report in Agelong Tree
- If your family tree is large and you don’t need to see ALL events anniversaries, you can choose which events to show in the nearest anniversaries report options window

- The main novelty is the ability to tag people in the group photos
- The tagged fragment can be used as the main photo of a person: you do not need anymore to use a graphic editor to cut out a person’s face. When you put a cursor in a group photo with tags, you see person’s names and you can click to open the person’s information window.

- Events with unknown year can be freely moved among the person's events
- In the saved HTML documents he ability to click on a photo is added, it allows you to view the full size photo

- We started working with Gedcom, now you can export to this format, and also you can export to XML. As you requested, the ability to save very large trees as PNG without downscaling is back now, this format attracts many users by its prevalence. Also you can now choose the size of photos when you save your tree as SVG or HTML, if you choose small size, the file weighs twice less than PNG.

New in Agelong Tree 5.0 Build 2017.05.25 (May 26, 2017)
- Agelong Tree now works both on Windows and macOS. It became possible due to new development technology and new database management system called SQLite. It is a fast safe system that works on many different platforms, so in the future Agelong Tree for Android and iOS will use the same data as Agelong Tree for Windows and macOS.
- In Agelong Tree 5 we renewed the interface, increased operation speed and added a lot of new abilities. The most important thing is that we created a basis for a smooth, evolutionary development of the program on different platforms.
- As we changed the data format, you will need to use the import if you want to open data from the previous version of Agelong Tree. Import option is found in “All actions” menu and in the first launch window.
- Unfortunately, there are some limitations too: we cannot guarantee Agelong Tree 5 stable operation under Windows XP and Windows Vista, and data import is available only in Agelong Tree 5 for Windows.

- If the tree is too big for saving as one image into one file, Agelong Tree automatically divides the image into equal parts and saves it into several files;
- When the tree is saved as an image, the half-filled pages are saved sized as the other pages;
- In the tree preview window it is possible to choose large page formats, even those that are not supported by a default printer. It may be useful for saving for printing if you select "Pages into different files" option;
- It is possible to choose a type of the tree and a lineage list type on the "Persons" tab before building them;
- Links to sources have been included into events lists in lineage lists and Person's Information windows;
- There have been added navigation buttons "Go to tree" and "Go to table";
- The printout of tables has been optimized;
- The width of the text in a "Print\Export" window of the main tables depends on the width of the chosen paper format;
- Optimization of the data file is now done when saving data to an archive; there is no more "Optimization" button in the "File" menu of Agelong Tree;
- When entering dates a two-digit year is not any more replaced by a four-digit year, instead some leading zeros are added;
- Inserting a current date into the file name of the archival backup is optional now; by default the option is on;
- When exporting into XML dates are presented in Gedcom format, as well as a text.
- Some things connected with Gedcom format have been improved:
- when importing a Gedcom file Agelong Tree looks for document files by checking both, full path and relative path;
- if a person has several documents, the first document is set as the main one;
- some minor mistakes have been corrected;
- There have been corrected the following things:
- too high tree options window;
- incorrect encoding when opening Google Maps;
- in some instances tree nodes were cut even if the option "Eliminate cuts of nodes" was on;
- when saving as Rtf document the page numbers sometimes were moved to the following page;
- in some instances the order of marriages was not displayed correctly in the tree;
- it was possible to enter a text in a text field longer than allowed;
- in some instances the program didn't start;
- when deleting or adding a table field in a table, active filters were not taken into consideration;

- The program automatically offers to create a backup copy of the current data file. It is offered at the moment of closing the program in case one of the following conditions are met: the previous backup copy was created more than 15 days ago and there have been some changes in the data file OR there have been changed more than 15 objects in the data file;
- In the "Create a person" menu there are adoptive parents and adopted children options;
- A background picture can be added to the tree; a special option "Keep proportions";
- Long relation degrees can be abbreviated (see "Tree options" - "Tree nodes" - "Text" - "Displayed fields" - "Relation degree" - "Edit")
- It is possible to show long comments in the tree without cutting (option "Abbreviate" can be applied - see the options window of the field in the "Displayed fields" list)
- It is possible to abbreviate information of the field "Marriages" in the tree nodes;
- The program automatically extracts the date when a photo was taken and fills the "Date" field in the document's information when creating a document;
- In the edit document window there is a button that allows to move the file of this document to another folder (inside the documents (.files) folder);
- It is possible to change the font of the text in all reports;
- A few bugs have been fixed.
