  • UModel supports importing and exporting projects in XMI (XML Metadata Interchange) format, with support updated for the latest version of the XMI specification.

  • The UModel COM API has been extended to allow reporting of info, warning, and error messages to the messages window instead of dialog boxes. This has been requested by customers to make reviewing and addressing these messages easier.

  • UModel 2019 has had an extensive UI revamp to fully support today’s modern, high-PPI (pixel per inch) monitors, such as UHD, 4K, and “Retina” displays.
  • Developers working on high-PPI monitors and laptops will find the new UModel UI to be beautifully sharp on high-PPI screens of all sizes, as UModel now takes full advantage of the higher resolution offered by the display to render all graphics with a lot more precision and detail. UML diagrams are now sharper, and text labels are easier to read on high-res displays.

  • UModel supports logical files of the IBM iSeries database and shows logical files as views
  • Supportfor IBM DB2 logical files. A logical file in IBM iSeries editions of the DB2 database represents one or more physical files. A logical file allows users to access data in a sequence or format that can be different from the physical file. Users who connect to IBM iSeries computers may encounter existing databases constructed with logical files. These were previously not accessible, but are now supported in Version 2012 Release 2
