Assisted dRawing toOl Changelog

What's new in Assisted dRawing toOl 5.2

Oct 17, 2014
  • Two extra point styles have been added, a circle and a filled dot. The colour of the fill of the dot can be changed but not its outline nor that of the circle as this could make either symbol too indistinct.
  • In previous versions, if the colour of a cross to mark a point had been changed, this reverted to black if the drawing was reopened. Each cross colour is retained in V5.2.
  • When a background has been imported, it is no longer possible to add a set of y axis scale boxes as these are spaced to match the built in grid lines. Instead, the user is advised to use a text box and match the imported grid as closely as possible by means of new or blank lines. Alternatively, individual text boxes could be used which can be placed more accurately.

New in Assisted dRawing toOl 5.1 (Oct 17, 2014)

  • In version 4.3, the background of an opened isometric drawing was a rectangular grid. This has been corrected.
  • Optional A4 size portrait and landscape grids are available for grid drawings and imported backgrounds. Pie charts and isometric drawings are possible on the original square 14x14 grid only

New in Assisted dRawing toOl 4.3 (Aug 27, 2013)

  • Starting a New drawing while the fine grid is on screen previously left the fine radial button checked although a coarse one was on screen. This has been corrected.
  • Other options while a smooth curve is being defined or updated have been disabled to prevent unintended actions.

New in Assisted dRawing toOl 4.2 (Aug 27, 2013)

  • The clockwise and anti-clockwise symbols did not display correctly on all systems so these have been replaced by Yes and No. Yes, for clockwise, No for anticlockwise with prompts.
  • Spelling corrections have been made in all new documents.

New in Assisted dRawing toOl 4.1 (Aug 27, 2013)

  • The coarse gridlines on the fine grid have been made grey so that black lines drawn on it are easier to see.
  • The number of smallest steps between the smallest visible gridlines has been added to the grid type names. Now, “fine” has been replaced by “fine (10)” and “coarse” has been replaced by “coarse (50)” to assist in correct positioning.
  • An isometric grid has been added.
  • In previous versions it was possible to choose an option while the direction pop-up box was on screen. This caused selected lines to remain magenta when the direction pop- up box was closed. No options that could cause this problem are allowed in version 4.

New in Assisted dRawing toOl 3.3 (Jun 19, 2013)

  • In version 3.2, if you wanted to start a New drawing or Open a saved one after you had been drawing on an Imported picture, the grid options were not available. This has been corrected.
  • The number of textboxes that can be added to a drawing has been increased from 6 to 10.
  • In version 3.2, once a textbox had been deleted, it could not be replaced, so the total number of textboxes that could be used decreased. Now, any deleted textbox may be replaced by a new one.
  • In version 3.2, the textbox creation offset in a New or Opened drawing continued from that of the previous drawing. This offset is now reset between drawings.
