  • This version is a minor release with new configuration options and features
  • You can now quickly change the view mode for all open documents at once by holding the Shift key pressed down when clicking the "view mode" sections of the status bar
  • There is a new option on the Edit tab of the "Tools | Options..." dialog
  • You can now use hexadecimal codes of Unicode characters when performing find/replace operations. Hexadecimal character codes can be used within both "find what" and "replace with" patterns. To search for a character with a specific hexadecimal code, specify ^xNNNN within a search pattern. "NNNN" is a Unicode hexadecimal code (for example, "^x0020", "^x01FC", "^x20A4"). Both lowercase and uppercase letters are allowed within the hexadecimal code. Use the "Insert | Symbol..." dialog of Atlantis to obtain hexadecimal codes of characters.
  • A new AutoCorrect option for the Spanish language

  • There is a new option on the Load/Save tab of the "Tools | Options..." dialog
  • When this option is on, the "Save Document As..." dialog automatically opens the home folder of the active document. When the option is off, the "Save Document As" dialog initially opens the folder where you last created (saved as) a document.
  • The "Save Document As..." dialog also has a new option
  • The "Save Document As..." command usually creates a new file for the active document. If the old file of the active document is not needed anymore, you can check the "Move file" option, and the old file will be deleted. If you use the "Move file" option for an unmodified document, the old document file simply gets moved to a new location.
  • If you have a document in Atlantis that you do not need anymore, and want to delete it from your disk, you can now do so without using the file manager. Just right-click the document on the Document Bar, and choose the "Close & Delete Document..." command
  • The deleted document file gets normally moved to the Recycle Bin.
  • You can delete multiple open documents at once. Just select the documents you want to delete, right-click any of them on the Document Bar, and choose the "Selected Documents | Close & Delete..." menu command.

  • By default, user-specific files of Atlantis (document templates, backup files, spellcheck lexicons, etc) are stored under the "My documentsAtlantis" folder. Now you can choose a different location for these files by clicking the "Browse..." button next to the "User files location" edit box on the "Load/Save" tab of the "Tools | Options..." dialog. You would have a choice to copy current user files to a new location, move them to the new location, or ignore them altogether and use any files available at the new location.

  • This version is a minor release with a new keyboard shortcut to insert characters not available directly through the keyboard.
  • If you know the hexadecimal Unicode code of a character, you can insert it to the document in the following way:
  • Type the code in the document.
  • For example, to insert the mathematical sign for sum (?), type its hexadecimal Unicode code: 2211.
  • Note that when the character's code is shorter than 4 digits (for example, "B9" or "1FC"), it should be typed with extra leading zeroes ("00B9" or "01FC").
  • Press AltX to replace the character's code with the actual character.
  • Note that the Alt+X shortcut can be used not only to insert characters to the document, but also to obtain the hexadecimal Unicode code of any character in the document. To do so, select a character in the document whose code you want to obtain, and press AltX. The selected character would be replaced with its hexadecimal Unicode code.

  • After opening a plain text file, you can also use the "Tools | Word Count..." menu command of Atlantis to find out its encoding.
  • After making edits to a plain text file, you can use the "File | Save" menu command of Atlantis to save the modified text document in its current encoding. If you use the "File | Save As..." menu command instead, Atlantis by default displays the "File Conversion" dialog where you can choose the desired encoding for the text file.
  • But you can instruct Atlantis not to display the "File Conversion" dialog every time you use the "save as" command on a plain text document. To do so, click the new "Plain Text Files..." button on the "Load/Save" tab of the "Tools | Options..." dialog of Atlantis, then click the "always use the following options" box, and select desired options.
