What's new in Autodesk Design Review 13.0.0.82

Jun 10, 2016
  • Measure 2D angles. You can now measure 2D angles on drawings.
  • Dynamic stamps. These newly added stamps automatically can include your user name, time, date, and filename to 2D drawings.
  • Customize markup status highlight colors. This new general option enables you to apply custom color highlighting to For Review, Question, and Done statuses.
  • Apply the original scale. You can return a 2D drawing to its originally published scale after a custom scale has been set.
  • Select DWG TrueView to import DWG files instead of AutoCAD. When both AutoCAD® and DWG TrueView™ are installed on the same computer, Design Review uses AutoCAD to open DWG files. Design Review now enables you to select DWG TrueView to open DWG files instead of AutoCAD.
  • Lock and unlock multiple markups in the Markups palette. Make multiple selections in the Markups palette and click one of the lock icons to change the security of them all. This capability now matches the right-click Lock functionality previously only available on the canvas context menu.
  • One-click access to useful Autodesk 360 services. Use the Resources tab to view Autodesk 360 resources on the Web related to Design Review.

  • Auto Recovery:
  • You can now recover your work if Design Review closes unexpectedly.
  • Enhanced custom workspace management:
  • Custom workspaces now retain more view settings, markup formatting settings, as well as changes made to the ribbon and Quick Access Toolbar. You can also share your custom workspaces with your team and clients.
  • Paste image onto a 2D sheet:
  • You can now copy an image to the Windows clipboard and paste it directly onto a 2D sheet, making it easier to include images as markups and in symbol catalogs.
  • Create symbol catalogs from selected objects:
  • Select any objects on the canvas, including pasted images, and turn them into a new custom symbol catalog.
  • More custom symbol catalog management options:
  • Besides just deleting catalogs, Design Review now enables you to rename, import, and export custom symbol catalogs too so they can be shared with your team and clients.
  • Share your Design Review settings:
  • You have complete control over your Design Review options. You can now export and import Options and application button settings.
  • Additional scaling options when printing:
  • In previous versions of Design Review, when printing a sheet you could only scale it as a percentage relative to the published sheet size. New to this release, you can choose real-world scaling values or enter your own custom scale.
  • Set a custom scale for any DWF sheet:
  • You can now change the scale of a drawing, even if the scale was set by the authoring application.
  • One-click access to useful resources:
  • Use the Resources tab to view resources on the Web related to Design Review, such as the discussion group, videos, and blog.

  • Field of View. Control the visible area of a 3D model from a set location.
  • New keyboard shortcuts for markups. All callouts, drawing tools, and 2D measure tools (Area and Polyline) now have keyboard shortcuts. Use the Spacebar to invoke the last used markup tool.
  • Lighting enhancements. Simplified lighting tools correct for over-lighting and glare in models.
  • Printing enhancements. Use more advanced print controls to improve raster printing performance.
  • Open dialog box enhancements. The Files of Type drop-down list now lists All Supported Files by default, and if you change the Files of Type selection, your choice persists the next time you open a file during the current session.
