- "See Inside Poly" now has a slider which lets you adjust opacity of the polyhedra when inside is shown. The slider is found on the tool bar next to the "Perspective" slider.

- One of the bug fixes in the prvious version created a bug, and it has been reversed in this new version.

- A couple of bugs associated with "Edit Chemical Structure Information" dialog box have been fixed: catching identical coordinates of entries and checking value limits.
New in Balls & Sticks 1.72 (Aug 8, 2012)
- More flexible indexing scheme makes it possible to accomodate larger numbers of elements than previous versions.
- On previous versions, clicking on a flat 2D (polyheadra) object didn't cause selection of the object unless "see inside poly" button was pressed. This bug has been fixed.
- There may have been more than one, but, at least, a bug has been fixed which could have cuased previous versions of BS to crash or behave strangely after deleting some element(s).
New in Balls & Sticks 1.60 (Aug 8, 2012)
- This version has been removed because it cannot read BS files from older versions, and its own BS files cannot be read by older versions, either.
- This version tried to address the problem reported by Hermann Gies: BS crashed when large number of atoms were present in the unit cell.
