New in Benkyou Studio Portable 1.00 (Jun 20, 2016)

  • Default scale of Quiz auto-sets depending on your screen resolution
  • Bugfix regarding scales on German (or machines using comma as a decimal point)

  • Bugfix in quix - awaken code would awaken words where all translations were the same, but quiz would never show them, this meant the words were stuck forever at a score of zero. Unfortunately, as word scores are in your StudyUsr.Dat, this will not fix existing users. Please manually increase your MinZeroWords or manually delete these words from your studylist to work around this issue.
  • Bugfix in quiz with jpn-r, text to speech wasnt working correctly due to case sensitivity and old % var code
  • Bugfix in WordFlash - Wordflash was showing words with no or partial translations, it has been changed to require at least a 1st and either a 2nd or 3rd line to be filled (What these show is dependant on the studylanguage)
  • New - International calculator - it has two displays, allows calculation in one currency, with equivalent foreign currency value shown in a second display - a set of currency conversions are included and you can set your own rates.
  • New - International Clock / Time chart - Shows the time multiple timezones As well as the current time, the following 24 hours are shown, with AM/PM & Working hours & weekends coloured, this is to allow for easy planning of an event such as meetings or server mantinance over multiple timezones

  • If you are upgrading, These new options will set to their default
  • "Use Rush Mode" option - during the quiz rushmode reduces the pauses on words you are strongest at to increase the amount of words you can get through in a your study time, as it can be confiusing for newer players it is now disabled by default.
  • "Auto min Zero words" zerowords is the point new words will awaken and add to your study list, the number a user can cope with will vary, the original default was 2, so you would always have 3 words you were weak at on the list.
  • Setting this new tickbox overrides the manual option and sets it automatically to the square root of the wordlist size with a minimum of 2 (1 word = 2 min, 100 words= 10 min 1000 words = 31 min etc)... this is enabled by default, if you have set your own minimum please untick the option "AutoSet MinZW" in the settings
  • Bitmap font builder Improvements - bad values in Cells was bringing up errors, also program always exported on blank bmp if last tile was full, New Antialiasing options and bold support
  • Bug in Dictionary if respath was not current folder no dictionaries would show
  • Heavy upgrade to TextTricks - all texttricks can be scripted, meaning you can make your own scripts to mix and match them, undo and other features. A few new text tricks have been added! Some Text tricks are now much faster due to better string management.
  • Html Unicode to text converter upgraded to cope with unconvertable codes due to typos etc
  • File converter upgraded - now supports TextTricks for complex conversions.

  • Linux support via Mono in development - should be considered Alpha stagespeech is not possible in linux, all other features should work.

  • It is the same as the normal japanese dictionary, except does not show Kanji details and searches for english examples
  • Default dictionary now selected based on your Primary and Study language Default is Study_Primary, but Primary_Study is used as a fallback
  • French Language now supported
  • Bug in Quiz fixed - INI Variables not properly supported in Puzzle definitions
