BizForm Bar Changelog

What's new in BizForm Bar 4.1.0.189

Apr 27, 2007
  • BizForm Bar has the login button to the left and not the far right. Weve added profiles which allow you to set up eight profiles for multiple members of your family or for multiple settings such as work and home use. The next significant feature is a pop up software keyboard. This allows you to very securely enter data (well explain more below). In your Manage Forms and Passwords section you can now edit the page title and URL string fields for both forms and passwords. In version 4 weve taken away any limits on the number of forms or passwords that you can now store. And most importantly, weve made improvements for Microsoft Vista.
  • Profiles You can now set up multiple user profiles allowing you to store passwords and forms under any of eight available profiles. Profiles can be named and each profile has a different color button to give you a quick reference to which you are using. If you land on a page using the wrong profile, you can rapidly select the other profile and hit the Fill button and BizForm Bar will fill out the usernames, passwords, or form information on that page. Keep in mind that all of your data, for all these profiles is stored in a single exportable data file, data.bfb and that your master password works for all of these. If you want to set up multiple users with their own profiles, you can do that with separate logins in Windows XP or Vista.
  • Anti-Keylogger Keyboard Many of you will ask, what the hell is this for? We have adhered to developing the most secure online username and password manager on the planet. This is one of the many features that will give you enhanced security filling out passwords, usernames and forms. Once youve entered your username, password, or form information into the BizForm Bar keyboard it will safely and securely transmit these into the fields of the form or password pages.
  • Today a very large percentage of users have some form of spyware on their computers. Anti-spyware companies have stated estimates that 20 to 80% of all computers have spyware on them. A quick search in Google using the term keylogger software yields over 2,000,000 results, most of which offer software for logging users keystrokes. With the wide spread availability of malware and spyware software on the market today, even the most novice hacker can build software capable of monitoring users computers and keystrokes.
  • Despite the use of encrypted pages and encrypted links to host websites, and encryption keys offered by banks and other institutions, keys typed on the keyboard can be detected and transmitted away to hackers websites long before any of this information is encrypted in the users computer. Some spyware is programmed to watch for when users go to specific websites, such as ebay, banks, PayPal, or anywhere sensitive personal information can be obtained. When users arrive at these websites, the software begins transmitting all the keystrokes to the attackers website. With the BizForm Bar anti-keylogger, users can pop up a software based keyboard and type in data thats directly sent to the encrypted page. Each time this keyboard is launched, the keys are scrambled, making monitoring this keyboard virtually impossible.
  • Edit Manage Forms and Passwords Weve added a new button that will allow you to now edit the page name and the URL string. This is useful, since many times the page name is a bit obscure. As you can see in the diagram below, Sign In and Log in, dont specifically give you any hints as to the page that you saved your passwords or forms for. Thus you can edit this so you can remember which pages youve save information for. As well, you can edit the URL.
