- The default font is "dialog" again, but can be changed.
- The downloads come from our server.
New in C.a.R. 9.1 (Feb 11, 2010)
- Implemented display for rational trigonometry. Segments and circles display as quadrances, and angles as spreads.
- Function q(x) to convert distances into quadrances (returning x*x).
- Function s(t) to convert an angle t to a spread (returning sin(t)^2).
- Elements can now be displayed as fractions.
- New object: conic section from equation. Ctrl-click the quadric icon for a test. Make sure, you enter a quadratic function as the expression of the conic section.
- Conic section can now be defined by points and tangential directions in the points. Select a line after a point for this.
New in C.a.R. 9.0 (Feb 11, 2010)
- Moved C.a.R. to Sourceforge.
- Conditional formatting for polygons.
- Greek translation by Giorgos Vasilopoulos.
- Ticks on segments and angles.
- Invisible macro objects no longer used as job targets.
- Export dialog now remembers switching off icon for macro definition.
- More than one applet on one HTML page (not recommended!) works more stable now.
- Unlimited colors are now possible. Enable the button for this in the icon bar, if you want to set an own default color.
- Fixed zeros sets with functions which are invalid at some points.
- Error from 8.82 with exp function.
- Error in macro execution, when the target was a bound point, and an intersection was created.
- Expressions with numbers in exponential format.
- Expressions, which are macro targets, are now visible.
- User functions in macros, which depend on other objects, now work as expected.
New in C.a.R. 8.8 (Feb 11, 2010)
- The grid is now a bit lighter.
- Improvements in Portuguese translation.
- Translation to Thai. Thanks to Waravut Butrat!

- Removed problem with the change from 8.74.
- Fixed the English documentation.
- List of construction elements is on by default.
- Default for button "More ..." is "on".
- Tried to fix problem with tooltips in dialogs under OS X.
- New Dutch translation (thanks to Jan van Hee),
- Colors for the applets and its shadow can now differ (parameter colorshadow). This is necessary, if the applet has a different color as the web page, and has a shadow.
- Colors in applet parameters can now have the form "#FFFFFF".
- integrate, diff, zero, min and max now work for user defined functions too.
New in C.a.R. 8.7 (Feb 11, 2010)
- Improved the algorithm to compute zero sets of functions of two variables.
- Problem with 1 or 3 parameters fixed.
New in C.a.R. 8.6 (Feb 11, 2010)
- By default, applets have a shadow now (can be hidden).
- Tutorial pages now have a new style.
New in C.a.R. 8.4 (Feb 11, 2010)
- RSS Feed for C.a.R.
- New color selector for system colors

- In HTML export zirkel.jar can be copied to destination automatically.
- Fixed the user directory for Windows Vista.
- Fixed angle size in print preview.

- Macros can be iterated.
- The size of the construction area can be set in pixels.
New in C.a.R. 8.3 (Feb 11, 2010)
- It is now possible to replace objects by other objects of the same type. E.g., intersections can be replaced by free points.
New in C.a.R. 8.2 (Feb 11, 2010)
- Solving a job and moving objects led to unexpected behavior.
- The checked job targets have now a darker color than the no checked targets.
New in C.a.R. 8.1 (Feb 11, 2010)
- The label export to SVG did not work, and also the new point style.
