  • Feature: We’ve added support for offload of AI/ML segmentation to Intel’s Core Ultra NPUs, alongside Camo’s existing support for Qualcomm’s NPUs. Great for longer battery life and enhanced performance. AI PC, here we go!
  • Feature: Camo now has an “ML processing” selector in Settings, enabling you to control how and where AI/ML workloads are run on your PC.
  • Improvement: We've improved the fidelity of our built-in Emoji Hands filter. 👌
  • Fix: We've fixed a bug that could cause some webcams to appear as potential Android devices.

  • Fix: We’ve fixed a bug where installing the compatibility add-on would not show a success message on completion.
  • Fix: Camo Studio now has a workaround to handle a few USB webcams with broken low-light handling. Darkness no more!

  • Feature: Emoji hands are now available under the AR menu for all cameras. Give it a shot!
  • Feature: Camo Studio is now available for ARM-based Windows devices on the Microsoft Store: This includes all our standout video features like segmentation, filters and scenes.
  • Feature: You can now edit all of Camo’s image adjustment values by clicking on them – In case you need to dial in your temperature just right!
  • Improvement: We’ve changed video players for our Help guides! Videos should load faster and you can now adjust playback speed.
  • Improvement: As a treat, we’re now including the open-source Inter font, which you can use in your Scenes out of the box. Additionally, we’ll now warn you if the Scene you’re using relies on fonts not installed on your computer.
  • Improvement: Importing images into your Scenes should now respect their rotation EXIF metadata.
  • Fix: We’ve fixed various issues in the Scene editor, including a missing font weight for text elements.
  • Fix: The panning tool should now handle any video orientation you throw at it.
  • Fix: We’ve fixed an issue where image stretching could be incorrect in Scenes imported from the macOS version of Camo Studio.
  • Fix: Some spinning rings were loitering around in the preview zoom menu… We told them to pack up and leave.

  • 4k for phones is here! You can now get super high resolution video out of your iOS and Android devices running the latest versions of the Camo app.
  • Feature: If you have a real green screen, you can now dial in a Chroma Key yourself instead of using Camo’s ML segmentation feature.
  • Feature: The Overlay Editor has been amped-up with various Quality of Life features, including Undo/Redo, Copy/Paste (even from other apps!) and Multi-select.
  • Improvement: We've gone through our new interface from top to bottom to make it more usable with keyboard navigation and Narrator. Watch this space for more a11y improvements in future updates!
  • Improvement: Camo Studio will now make use of Windows’ native notifications to warn you about different things, even if the app is minimized.

  • Feature: Camo Studio can now apply an audio delay to sound coming from your phone.
  • Improvement: We've broadened support for controlling white-balance and exposure in Camo when using webcams which don't support those controls themselves.
  • Improvement: When you start Camo, it will now always attempt to select the last used camera if it's still connected. It will also no longer automatically switch to a different device if the one you're using is disconnected and pause the video feed instead.
  • Improvement: We've added a beautiful blur effect to your video when switching between devices.
  • Improvement: You can now reorder overlays and LUTs by dragging them around the gallery.
  • Improvement: Paired wireless devices have been moved to a dedicated tab in the app settings.
  • Improvement: The window that shows when there's an error has a fresh new look. Hopefully you'll never see it!
  • Improvement: We've reworked the sliders in the app to make them easier to use.

  • Fix: We've overhauled how we handle graphics card issues (such as when updating your graphics card drivers).
  • Fix: Previously when mirroring video in Camo the pan position would jump to a different position in the frame, that's fixed now.
  • Fix: We've fixed a bug which meant that Camo's update window didn't look right in dark mode.
  • Fix: The exposure calibration LUT wasn't loading properly, that's fixed now.
  • Fix: We fixed a bug which led to overlays sometimes being cut off after changing resolution.
  • Fix: We've fixed an issue when using Camo with a video capture card which isn't currently outputting video.
  • Fix: We've fixed a bug which meant that changing resolution from the system tray icon wouldn't work if the Camo window was closed and Camo's video wasn't being used by any other apps.
  • Fix: A few users got in touch with us about a rare AccessViolation error when opening Camo, that's fixed now.
  • Fix: A couple of users with a virtual SRGB colour device profile wrote in to let us know they were having issues with Camo, that's fixed now!
  • Fix: We’ve fixed some spots in the app that were acting up if you had a looooooong preset or category name.

  • Improvement: We'll soon be giving you more control over device activations on the Camo website, this release includes some changes to prepare for that.
  • Fix: We spotted that things don’t look right when Windows is using a high contrast theme, that's fixed now.
  • Fix: We've fixed an issue which occurs when using the Filter Gallery to try a variety of filters in quick succession.
  • Fix: We've improved how we handle certain rare issues when using portrait or auto-framing modes with webcams.

  • We've significantly improved the quality of portrait, privacy, and replace modes for webcams when your video isn't in a landscape 16:9 resolution.

  • We've fixed a bug which led to the video unpausing when changing resolution.
  • We've fixed an issue which occurred when no webcams or phones are connected after installing Camo's NVIDIA add-on.
  • We've fixed an issue which users were seeing when Camo’s NVIDIA add-on fails to download. If the download fails you will now be able to retry it.

  • Camo Studio now works with all cameras! You can now use Camo Studio with any camera you can connect to your Mac, including built-in cameras, webcams, DSLRs or mirrorless cameras, action cams, and iPhones connected with Continuity Camera.
  • Portrait mode has been overhauled on iOS and is also now available for all cameras. It can also now be used in combination with AR modes.
  • Spotlight mode ensures you stand out in your shot, brightening you up against the background.
  • Privacy blur lets you hide what’s in shot behind you, removing the need for jarring video-conferencing background removal.
  • Replace mode enables you to substitute your background scene with a replacement backdrop or a virtual greenscreen.
  • Dynamic face tracking with auto framing, with and without zoom. This is powered by a new physics engine, bringing face tracking which is smooth and cinematic, without the jerkiness or dizzying movements that other face tracking solutions introduce.
  • We've added native LUT support to Camo. These are cinematic filters which enable film-like treatments to your video. We've included a pack of 18 thoughtfully created presets.
  • To ensure it’s always providing perfectly smooth video Camo Studio now detects any situations where your camera fails to deliver at the requested frame rate, and will show a warning with suggestions on how to fix things.
  • We've added a beautiful new vignette overlay to the pack of built in overlays.
  • Centre stage controls, Camo Studio can now be used to toggle Centre Stage on the Studio Display, iPhones using Continuity Camera, and supported iPads.
  • We've overhauled our macOS Shortcuts support, making it easier to control Camo Studio with Shortcuts and also added Shortcut controls for overlays as well as for all the new features in this release.
  • We've re-worked our menu bar icon, to make it easier to tell if Camo's video is being used or if there is anything which needs your attention.
  • We've made significant improvements to Camo's performance when using overlays on iPhone.

  • Feature Connect your iOS or Android device to your computer via Wi-Fi. No more wires!
  • Feature Camo Studio now displays paired Wi-Fi devices and other preferences in a dedicated Settings window. Expect more things to appear there in future releases!
  • Improvement We’ve redesigned the on-screen instructions when a device isn’t connected to be clearer and provide extra guidance for connecting devices over Wi-Fi.
  • Improvement Camo Studio will now warn you if your device is connected through a USB hub, which can potentially reduce performance.

  • Feature:
  • Frame-rate controls have long been one of our most popular feature requests, and now they’re here! Camo now lets users choose from a range of frame-rates between 15 and 60 fps, making it easy for streamers to match their camera frame rate with the stream.
  • We've added Smart Zoom, which lets you take advantage of your iPhone's 4K sensors regardless of which resolution you're using. Camo now avoids using digital zoom wherever possible, and instead rely on a higher resolution source image from the camera’s sensor, mimicking lossless optical zoom. Smart Zoom can be enabled in Camo Studio’s Preferences dialog, under the General tab.
  • Virtual rotation gives you the ability to choose between landscape and portrait video without having to physically rotate your phone. This makes use of the "Smart Zoom" feature to ensure the video is perfectly crisp.
  • Camo's new image stabilisation functionality minimises the effect of vibrations and other disturbances on the image, great for desk mounted devices, wobbly mounts, or heavy-handed typists.
  • We've added a vibrancy control, which gives you a way to boost or dampen duller colours in a way that’s less heavy-handed and artificial than using the saturation control.
  • Improvement:
  • The brightness control has now been completely re-worked to give you finer grained control and make you look less washed out when increasing brightness.
  • It's now easier to remove the current overlay -- you can now disable an overlay simply by clicking on it.
  • Fix:
  • We've fixed a bug which meant that Camo Studio would sometimes prevent your Mac from sleeping.
  • We've fixed a bug which caused issues with Camo Studio’s audio output when your phone isn't connected.
  • We've fixed a bug which meant that Camo Studio could occasionally think a licence had expired shortly before it was due to renew.

  • Feature: We've overhauled how Camo Studio communicates with other video apps. This brings full compatibility with all Windows video apps, including Nvidia Broadcast, WhatsApp, Splitcam, XSplit, mmhmm, Telegram, WebEx, and Windows' very own built-in camera app.
  • Improvement: We've made it much simpler to change resolution while using Camo Studio in a video call.
