The old methods for cropping images and creating text have been replaced by Capture View 'Boxes'. You can add images to 'Boxes' either by capturing an image in the box or by adding an image to the box from the slide strip. The image in any box can be made semi-transparent. You can save just the 'Boxes' or you can save a composite image of all the boxes.
