  • Admin Pack: Redesigned the majority of the admin package (a few minor adjustments will be introduced in the next release).
  • Welcome Message (Edit): Fixed Tabbing order of controls.
  • Create Room: Fixed a bug where a user could not type a “Welcome Message” when creating a room from “Groups & Rooms”.
  • Chat Room: Fixed a number of issues with Keyboard button presses (multiple conflicting key assignments).
  • Chat Room: Assigned the “Insert” key as a shortcut for “SetMic” (simply press and hold down the “Insert” key to record and stream audio, release it to stop recording and streaming).
  • Chat Room: Fixed a bug which caused the chat history to be erased when copying the text to the Clipboard.
  • Chat Room: Fixed loading & saving of font preferences (font preferences may be reset upon first use).
  • Chat Room: A number of enhancements to the visuals and images.

  • General: Fixed a number of issues when Teleporting (admins only) a user from one room to another (would cause an access violation).

New in ChatStage 2011.02.17.001 Alpha 4 (Feb 22, 2011)

  • Chat Room: Room Owners (Administrators & Moderators) can now edit the “Welcome Message” for the room. When in the room select “Edit” (from the Menu) and then “Welcome Message”.
  • Chat Room: Updated the messaging style to match that of Private Messaging.
  • Private Messaging: All private messages are displayed in a single window (tabbed), should make for less clutter on the Desktop.
  • Private Messaging: Fixed flickering (when a pop-up form is shown).
  • Private Messaging: Removed icon flashing (when receiving an offline message), will replace this with something better in future.
  • Register Account: This form now stays centered to the Login form (defaulted to desktop center).
  • ChatStage Login: Fixed a bug which caused the window not to appear in the taskbar (unless it had focus).
  • Account Information: Fixed Tabbing order of controls.
  • Account Information: Added “My Colour” option (*Premium Users).
  • User Information: Screen Name will be displayed in that user’s colour (if specified).
  • User Information: Minor changes/improvements to some of the controls.
  • Join Room: Fixed a bug when changing chat room (from an existing chat room), didn’t automatically open the new room.
  • General: Improved delivery/display of Technical Messages.
  • General: Fixed a bug related system messages (broadcasted by admins), would cause an exception and crash the client.
  • General: Updated Client Server authentication routine (Exploit detected: whereby a remote client was able bypass the login procedure).
  • General: Fixed a number of bugs related to connection timeouts.
  • General: Updated command verification between the client and server (possible security violations where closed).
  • General: Optimized "Keep Alive" command, it was being sent to the server far too often (every [1] second), this will decrease the server’s bandwidth consumption/load.
  • General: Fixed a bug on the server which would not let users update their profile (when country was set to nothing).
