What's new in Collectorz.com Game Collector 23.3

Aug 31, 2023
  • Simplified Sort Name editing for all pick list entries:
  • We have simplified the database structure and editing of person pick list items and other pick lists with sort names. In the past you had editable fields like First Name, Last Name and “The”, which worked together to generate a SortName.
  • Now it is much simpler and easier. There is just a Display Name and Sort Name for each of the pick list fields.
  • This change makes it easier to set Sort Names for your entries AND this simple database structure better matches the database structure of CLZ Cloud and CLZ Games, resulting in more accurate data syncing.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 23.2.4 (Jun 2, 2023)

  • Improved:
  • Adding by Barcode: the last barcode you scanned is now automatically selected in the queue
  • Further improvements for sorting text with numbers in it (especially with – symbols)
  • Faster sorting, resulting in overall performance improvements especially for large databases

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 23.2.3 (Apr 18, 2023)

  • Fixed:
  • Sorting problems for certain fields
  • Several small Add Screen stability issues

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 23.2.2 (Apr 6, 2023)

  • Fixed:
  • When using “Update Value” on a game, it would sometimes grab the wrong value (e.g. loose+box while you asked for loose+manual)
  • Dark Skin: In the Folder panel, we’ve made the barchart color a bit brighter.
  • In the Pre-fill popup you could not select an “empty” item for pick lists.
  • Sorting your list by date wasn’t always working properly.
  • When using “Export to XML” or “Save Database As” the program will check if the file already exists.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 23.2.1 (Mar 30, 2023)

  • As announced last weekend, here it is, Game Collector version 23.2 for Windows, with full support for our new CLZ Scanner barcode scanner app!
  • And as indicated earlier, support for the old CLZ Barry scanner app has now been removed.
  • Also new in this version: Improved support for barcodes that were used over multiple series.
  • What is CLZ Scanner?
  • The aptly-named “CLZ Scanner” is a barcode scanner app, nothing more, nothing less. It is an app that you use on your phone to scan barcodes and then instantly send those scanned barcodes to the Add Games screen of the Game Collector software running on your computer. From there, you can then easily and comfortably add the scanned games to your computer software.
  • CLZ Scanner replaces the old CLZ Barry app.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 23.1.1 (Nov 30, 2022)

  • Another update for your Game Collector software, that could make using the software quite a bit faster and more responsive!
  • In this update, we are changing the way Youtube trailer videos are shown in the details panel. Instead of an embedded YouTube player (which can be very slow to load), the trailers are displayed as a list of video thumbnails and title. Just click to open the video on the Youtube site.
  • This new setup has the following advantages:
  • Browsing through your games is a lot faster now.
  • No more annoying “hangs” while the Youtube video loads.
  • It resolves the problem of many videos not being “allowed” to be embedded nowadays.
  • Clicking a trailer will now always open it in your default browser!
  • (previously it always opened in Internet Explorer)

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 23.0.1 (Nov 17, 2022)

  • Support for the separate Box Only and Manual Only values
  • Support for the Graded values (“Graded” is now an extra Completeness option)
  • New “View Last Update Report” in the menu

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 22.0.3 (May 30, 2022)

  • Year folders now sort from most recent year to older
  • Transfer Field Data: It is now possible to transfer credits to the Notes field
  • Fixes:
  • Link Screen: Fixed various “Access Violation” errors
  • Edit Screen: File paths for missing cover images weren’t showing
  • Main Screen: filtering on Collection Status “Sold” didn’t show correct filter text in the bottom of the screen
  • Edit Multiple on the “Value: Locked” field wasn’t working
  • Filtering on the “Value: Locked” field wasn’t working
  • Link Games: When using “Find Manually” the platform was ignored
  • Add Games: The link to PriceCharting wasn’t working
  • Add Games: Value wasn’t set when adding games
  • Edit in List: Fields could be cleared when modifying the column fields during editing in list
  • Edit in List: Fixed some problems with editing price/value fields

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 22.0.2 (Mar 22, 2022)

  • Fixed:
  • Add Games: the value wasn’t shown in the result cells (you may need to switch your completeness from CIB to New and back in pre-fill settings 1 time to make them show up!)
  • Sync with CLZ Cloud: Date Added wasn’t syncing
  • Pre-fill: You can now use the field “Original” as a pre-fill field
  • Pick list popups: Add button contained bad text
  • Various “Access Violation” errors fixed in the Link Games screen
  • User Defined Fields: default values weren’t used when adding games
  • Pre-fill: User Defined Fields weren’t remembered between sessions
  • Light Skin: Rating stars weren’t visible

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 22.0.1 (Mar 11, 2022)

  • User-configurable Pre-fill screen: choose your own fields
  • User-configurable Add / Update from Core
  • Support for WebP images
  • New collection status “Sold” and new collection status icons and colors

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.6.1 (Oct 8, 2021)

  • In this update, we are improving the Submit to Core system.
  • We have created a completely new site for processing your submitted entries, which is now fully responsive to your browser size and therefore now fully mobile-compatible.
  • At the same time, we created a new auto-login system, making submitting easier and more seamless.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.5.1 (Sep 28, 2021)

  • Add Screen: By Barcode: Right click to remove a barcode wasn’t working.
  • Field Default fields meant for games could also wrongly be added to hardware entries.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.4.1 (Sep 15, 2021)

  • Version 21.4 is now available for your Game Collector software, with a nice graphical update for your folder panel. The folder panel now show horizontal bars in the background behind the folder entries, representing the “relative size” of the folder, that is, relative to the biggest folder in your collection.
  • This creates a nice subtitle bar chart in the background, making it easier to spot your biggest Platforms, your favorite Genres, etc…
  • So, of course this new feature is OPTIONAL (although enabled by default). You can switch it off using Tools > Options > Customization > “Show bar chart in folder panel”.
  • Fixes:
  • The menu item “CLZ Core > Submit item to CLZ Core” was not enabled when using Card View

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.3.2 (Aug 12, 2021)

  • Fixed:
  • Date fields didn’t always transfer correctly.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.3.1 (Aug 9, 2021)

  • A nice new v21.3 update is available for Comic Collector now, in which we introduce a new super useful database management tool, called Transfer Field Data (new in the Tools menu).
  • In short, this tool lets you copy field values from one field to another, in batch, so for your entire database, or for a selection of comics.
  • Sometimes the question originates from a user’s new insights into how to use the program’s fields in the best way. E.g. some users start using a User Defined Field for Storage Box information, because they somehow missed that there is a special Storage Box field.
  • Also, lately we have seen the question occur more often from users planning to switch to Comic Connect. Since Connect does not have User Defined Fields, they want to move their UDF data to built-in fields, like Storage Box, Owner, Tags and Notes.
  • Sadly, we did not have a solution for this (other than lots of manual labor). But as of today, we will be able to answer the above question better
  • The new Transfer Field Data screen:
  • As you can see, it has a deceptively simple UI (just select the From and To fields). However, the internal workings are very complex, especially regarding the copying of field values between fields of different data types (e.g. how to go from a UDF checkbox field to the built in multi-value Tags field).
  • A preview at the bottom lets you preview the transfer action before Apply-ing it. Also, to be extra safe, the program makes an automatic pre-transfer backup in your Backup folder.
  • Hope you like the new tool. PS. Any feedback about it is very welcome!
  • Fixed:
  • Add Movies: More responsive checkboxes
  • Add Movies: Fixed click area for removing barcode from queue
  • The Sort button in the main screen would sometimes not open the Sort Settings screen
  • Alphabet bar now works better for special characters

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.2.1 (Apr 29, 2021)

  • It is important to have your game entries linked to the corresponding entries in our Core online game database, especially when syncing to the CLZ Cloud and/or the CLZ Games mobile app. Because a correct Core link is what gives you all automatic game details, like cover images, developer, publisher, description, backdrop art, trailer videos, etc..
  • All game entries you added through the Add Games from Core screen, will of course be linked with a Core entry automatically. However, if you added game manually, or if you imported a list of games, some of your entries may arrive “unlinked”. In which case you would need to do the linking afterwards.
  • Previously, linking games with Core was done in an old and clunky screen, based on a very old version of the Add from Core screen. But not anymore! As of today, Game Collector has a completely new Link Games with Core screen.
  • New Link Games with Core screen:
  • The new screen was created from scratch and offers a more visual and easier-to-use linking process, allowing you to quick link many games in one go. Open the new Batch Link screen by choosing Batch Link Games from the new CLZ Core menu.
  • When you open the screen, it automatically shows a list of all your unlinked games. Click Find Matches at the top left to automatically find the best matches in our Core online games database, based on barcode, title and platform.
  • This process will auto-link games based on barcode where possible. For the rest of your unlinked games it determines a “match score”. Use the big green Link button at the bottom right to accept the all “high match scores” and link them all in one go, saving you loads and loads of time and clicks!
  • New CLZ Core menu:
  • For better grouping of all CLZ Core related tools, we’ve added a new top level CLZ Core item in the menu, which now contains the following:
  • Update Game from CLZ Core
  • Update all game values with PriceCharting
  • Batch Link Games
  • Submit Game to CLZ Core
  • Fixed:
  • Add Game: Text on Add button could disappear out of view
  • Main screen: Folder panel now has a minimum height as it could disappear from view after collapsing it

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.1.2 (Mar 4, 2021)

  • Instead of jumping on the next big feature update, we decided to take a couple of weeks to work on various small improvements and fixes. Here’s what’s new and fixed in today’s update:
  • New: Clear your CLZ Cloud right from the Sync screen:
  • No more need to login to the CLZ Cloud site and use “Clear Database” there. It is now possible to clear/reset your CLZ Cloud straight from the Sync screen, using the Clear CLZ Cloud button at the bottom.
  • BTW: please only use this when strictly necessary, in case of problems. Clearing the cloud and re-syncing all items is a heavy operation and causes seriously load on our servers. Thank you!
  • New: Find Duplicates results can now be exported to a TEXT file:
  • By popular demand: you can now export the results of the Find Duplicates screen, either to take with you as a text file, or for printing.
  • New: Use the Statistics screen on a selection:
  • Something that “got lost” when we replaced the old Database Totals screen with the fancy new Statistics screen: being able to see totals for the selected items in the main screen. So… now that feature is back! Just select items in the main screen, using the checkboxes or Select All, then open Tools / Statistics to see totals and charts for just those items.
  • New: Filter area in status bar now highlights when a filter is active:
  • A common question in support: “Why don’t I see all my items anymore”. Always turns out that a filter is active, either in the Quick Filter Panel, the Alphabet Bar or the search box. To make this clearer, the Filter area in the status bar at the bottom now highlights in yellow when a filter is active.
  • Improved right-mouse click context menus, with sub-headers:
  • Through the years, new commands kept being added to the right click context menus, and to be honest, they became a bit messy. So about time we cleaned them up. All main screen context menu’s have now been cleaned up, re-ordered and re-grouped with nice sub-headers.
  • Fixed:
  • Update from Core on multiple albums was not working
  • Add from Core: in some situations album covers were not downloading
  • Import XML: several fixes to importing of credits, musicians and purchase prices
  • Printing, when printing track lists, the Box Set field did not work
  • Card View: mouse wheel scrolling was broken
  • After Select All in list, some action bar button did not show up
  • After editing, the list did not scroll to the edited item anymore
  • Statistics: rare Access Violation while loading the screen
  • Picklist item images are now automatically resolved when folder changes
  • Update File Links: manual mode missing trailing slash by default

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.1.1 (Jan 19, 2021)

  • New Pre-fill screen that pops up when adding games:
  • When adding a game to your database using the Add Games screen, it will now pop-up a new screen called “Pre-fill game details, letting you set various fields right then and there.
  • Fields available in the Pre-fill screen:
  • Completeness (Loose / CIB / New)
  • Box / Manual
  • Location
  • Owner
  • Purchase Date
  • Purchase Store
  • Purchase Price
  • Quantity
  • Tags
  • No more need to edit your added games afterwards!
  • (BTW: of course, using the new Pre-fill screen is optional. If you don’t want to use it, just uncheck the “Show Pre-fill screen” toggle at the bottom. You can always re-enable it through the program’s Options screen.)

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 21.0.1 (Oct 21, 2020)

  • v21.0: Improved game value features:
  • Today we’re bringing you a HUGE update for your Game Connect software, with many improvements to the game value features.
  • The downloading of Loose, CIB and New values from PriceCharting is one of the most popular features of the Game Connect software. So for this big update, we decided to take this feature to the next level, with values for more games, new features and many improvements:
  • Values for over 25,000 extra games and editions
  • We started on this project 3 months ago, manually linking over 25 thousand extra Core game entries to the corresponding PriceCharting entries, including lots of new PAL and JP editions. A huge job, but now ALL games and editions that are listing on PriceCharting.com are linked to entries in our Core game database!
  • Now download values in other currencies
  • Use the Options screen (choose Tools / Options from the menu) to select your preferred currency for the game value and purchase price fields. Choose from USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, CHF, NOK, SEK or DKK. Then run Update Values again to retrieve games values converted to your selected currency, using the current exchange rate.
  • Faster Update Values tool
  • The Update Values tool (in the menu) previously downloaded values one game at a time, but now it does so in batches of 100 games in one go, making it much, much faster.
  • Edit Game screen, new Value tab
  • All Value related fields (Completeness, Box, Manual, Value, PC ID, Condition, Purchase info, etc…) are now on their own “Value” tab in the Edit Game screen.
  • New on this Value tab:
  • A nice chart showing the PriceCharting values for Loose, CIB and New.
  • Tip: tab the bars in the chart to set your Completeness field.
  • PriceCharting values are now downloaded into the Value field (previously called “Current Value”). This way, you can now manually override (and lock) the value and always keep your Value Totals correct (in the Statistics screen).
  • You can now manually override the PriceCharting ID. Useful for cases where our game entry is linked to the wrong PriceCharting entry and you did find the correct one on the PriceCharting.com site.
  • The Completeness field now has an extra N/A option for digital games. This way you can ensure your digital games are not downloading PriceCharting values.
  • Add Games screen:
  • In the Add Games from Core screen, you can now set a global US/EU preference for getting US (=NTSC) vs EU (=PAL) values and cover images (this replace the old “US default” and “EU default” entries under a game.
  • Search results in the Add Games screen now show Edition, Region and PriceCharting values.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.5.1 (Aug 25, 2020)

  • Fixed:
  • User Defined Yes/No fields are now available as options for the folder panel.
  • Edit Multiple: Updating date fields wasn’t always working correctly if you only filled in a year.
  • Edit in List: Editing the Collection Status field did not work.
  • Folder panel: “Collection Status” folder option has been moved to “Personal” heading.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.4.1 (Jul 29, 2020)

  • Changing your folder field is now much easier:
  • You can now directly select any folder field for the folder panel, without having to create a preset first. Just instantly pick your desired folder field under the “Folders” heading in the menu of the Folder button.
  • Presets are now called Favorites.
  • You can still create your own Favorite folder options, e.g. for multi-level folder settings (e.g. Platform, then Genre), or just to make a specific 1-field setting easily accessible.
  • Your Favorite folder settings are listed at the top of the menu, under the Favorites heading.
  • New: no more need to manually name your Favorites. Sensible names are created automatically (the selected fields separated by slashes).
  • Columns and Sorting:
  • For Columns and Sorting, “Presets” have been renamed to “Favorites” too.
  • For Sort Favorites: no more need to manually name your Favorites. Sensible names are created automatically (the selected fields separated by slashes).
  • Edit Game: add multiple developers, publishers, etc.. in one go:
  • The Select screen for adding developers, publishers, etc… now includes checkboxes, so that you can multiple in one go. No more need to go back and fort between the Select and Edit screen to add multiple.
  • Fixed:
  • Using “Select All” in your list was very slow. Super fast again now
  • Print screen: “Field ID 221 has no XML tagname” error, when printing the Collection Status field as a column.
  • Removed the annoying “beep” when searching in the Add Games screen.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.3.3 (Jun 30, 2020)

  • Fixed:
  • If cover downloads were disabled, the program would still download a cover URL
  • If no rating was set, it would show with rating “0” in the rating column. It now shows “nothing” in the column again.
  • If no rating has been set for a movie, it would show in a “0” folder, and now shows in a “[None]” folder in your folder panel.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.3.2 (Jun 26, 2020)

  • Fixed:
  • In some case, new entries added through Add from Core would get images with .tmp extensions, instead of .jpg.
  • Editing pick list items directly from the folder panel did not work anymore.
  • Dragging items between folders did not work anymore.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.3.1 (Jun 25, 2020)

  • Faster image downloads:
  • We were able to make several improvements to the way images are downloaded (covers, backdrops, hardware pictures), making it much faster than before.
  • This change affects all places where images are downloaded from our servers, that is, when Adding Games/Hardware from Core, when Updating from Core and when down-syncing from CLZ Cloud.
  • Faster Update from Core:
  • On large collections the old Update from Core feature was quite slow, as it updated your games one by one, that is, doing separate requests to our server for each and every game.
  • So for this update, we also complete rewrote the Update from Core feature to do the updates in batches of 100 games at a time, making it much much faster! (roughly 4 times as fast).
  • Remember: Update From Core can be used to update your local game entries with possible extra data from our Core online game database. To use this feature, select some games, right click, then choose Update from Core.
  • Fixed:
  • Add Games from Core: when adding by barcode and the barcode is not found, it now automatically pops up the Unrecognized Barcode screen, so that you can 1. add the game anyway and 2. report the missing barcode to our Core.
  • When using My Rating as the folder field, the “0” folder was missing.
  • When using multiple levels of folders in the folder panel, sometimes the displayed counters were wrong.
  • Images View: it is now possible to change thumb size using Ctrl + mouse wheel.
  • The “Completed” field has been added to the folder options.
  • Add Games from Core: when adding by title with a platform filter on, “Not Found” entries that you add anyway will now use the platform you selected for them.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.2.2 (Jun 10, 2020)

  • Fixed:
  • Images View: Improved spacing between thumbnails
  • Images View: Mouse over on images didn’t show the title of the item
  • Cover Flow: Now uses big sharp images instead of the small thumbnails
  • Find Cover: Could give an Access Violation when finding GIF images

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.2.1 (Jun 8, 2020)

  • Images are now loading a lot faster.
  • Scrolling is faster and smoother.
  • Shelves background is smoother, no more visible tile edges.
  • Shelves now always continue over the full width, even when a row is not full.
  • Two new Shelf Styles are now available: White and Concrete.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.1.1 (Mar 25, 2020)

  • Faster CLZ Cloud syncing:
  • We have made several structural changes to the CLZ Cloud syncing, making it much much faster than before, especially when syncing large amounts of entries up to the CLZ Cloud or down from the CLZ Cloud.
  • To enjoy the faster syncing, you need to use the actual Sync with CLZ Cloud screen. (The Auto-Syncing in the background is also slightly faster now, but if you need to sync many entries up or down, please use the Sync with CLZ Cloud screen.)
  • Improved stability when using Auto-Syncing:
  • At the same time, we have resolved several issues with the Auto-Syncing in the background, problems that could cause Access Violations in some situation. So this 20.1 version should provide a more stable experience too.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.0.3 (Feb 6, 2020)

  • Some statistics weren’t shown correctly on screens with higher DPI settings.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.0.2 (Feb 5, 2020)

  • Solved several different “Access Violation” errors.
  • Statistics: Changed colors of statistics screen for Light Skin.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 20.0.1 (Jan 8, 2020)

  • Quick-search the folder panel:
  • The folder panel panel is a powerful way to browse and filter your collection. Just group by Platform, or Developer, etc… click a folder and the list will give you all games for the selected Platform or Developer.
  • However, if your collection spans thousands of games and a lot of platforms, that “click a folder” part is sometimes easier said than done. It may require lots of scrolling in the folder panel.
  • But not anymore! Version 20 introduces a new search box right above the folder panel, that lets you instantly search/filter the folder panel as you type! Just typing a few letters is often enough to bring the folder you are looking for into view:
  • Sort the folder panel by the counters:
  • By default, the folders in your folder panel are sorted alphabetically. But as of today, there is another option: sort your folder panel by the counter, that is by the number of games contained.
  • Sorting by the counters is a nice way to find the biggest platform in your collection, your most popular developers, etc… Switch between the Alphabetical and By Count sorting using the two sort buttons to the right of the new search box:
  • BTW: another small (but visually very nice) tweak to the folder panel is that the counters are now in a separate column on the right (previously these were listed between parentheses right behind the folder name).
  • Brand-new Statistics screen
  • Next to the above 2 functional improvements, we have also added a brand-new infographic-style Statistics screen. This replaces the old “textual” Database Totals screen. Open the screen from the Tools menu, then “Statistics”.
  • In the new Statistics screen you can find totals for your collection, top 10 lists and cool statistics in the form of pie charts, line charts and bar charts.
  • Totals:
  • total nr of games and platforms
  • total nr of hardware items
  • total purchase value
  • total current value
  • Charts and Lists:
  • Bar chart: games by platform
  • Top 10 list: most valuable games
  • Total PriceCharting value
  • Top 10 list: most recent additions
  • Bar chart: value by platform
  • Line chart: games by release year
  • Bar chart: games by genre
  • Pie chart: Completeness (New/CIB/Loose)
  • Pie chart: Value (New/CIB/Loose)
  • Pie chart: Completed (Yes/No)
  • Please note: the new Statistics screen only shows data for “In Collection” games (so excludes Wish List items) and takes into account the Quantity values!

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 19.3.1 (Jul 19, 2019)

  • The Game Collector software has allowed you to add your gaming hardware (consoles, controllers, etc…) to your database for quite a while. However, that has always been manual entry. Not surprisingly, one of the top feature requests for our game database solution has been the ability to add hardware automatically by searching an online database.
  • First, we set up a separate database in our Core for gaming hardware, with all the right fields.
  • Then, we created a in-house CMS tool for actually filling that hardware database.
  • At that point, the big project started for our content managers: finding console and accessory information online and manually filling the database with as many consoles, controllers, light guns, etc.. they could find. All with descriptions, box images, device images, backdrop images, sometimes even YouTube promo videos.
  • After many months work, our hardware database now lists 1500 console editions and just over 500 controllers.
  • So it is finally time to release our new “Add Hardware from Core” feature!
  • Add Hardware:
  • Find the new Add Hardware screen by clicking the Add Hardware button on the toolbar.
  • Add Hardware by title:
  • This screen should be familiar to you as it works the same as the Add Games screen. Start typing the title of your hardware item, and pick it from the Search-as-you-type” suggestions.
  • Or refine your search by setting the type of hardware and picking a platform:
  • Add Hardware by barcode:
  • You can also find hardware by scanning barcodes via the “Barcode” tab. Scan a bunch of hardware items and add them!
  • TIP: Use CLZ Barry to quickly scan a bunch of barcodes here!
  • Add Hardware Manually:
  • If you can’t find your hardware item, you can click the “Not found? Add this hardware anyway” entry at the bottom, and add that to your collection.
  • Or just use the old menu Edit > Add Hardware Manually to do so.
  • Find Device and Box Image:
  • Use the “Find Online” buttons in the Edit Hardware screen if you want to find a different device or box image!
  • Hardware in your collection:
  • Hardware has been a part of our Game cataloging software titles for a while. You can edit a hardware entry the same as you can edit a game entry, and you can now add two images (device and box image) to them as well.
  • TIP: To quickly group on hardware, click the folder button and select “Games / Hardware”.
  • New: Sync your own back covers and audience ratings
  • Back Covers:
  • With this big update for Game Collector we have another surprise for you: Syncing Back Covers!
  • We introduced a new checkbox “Custom Image” in the Edit screen for back covers of games. This checkbox will be automatically checked when you replace the Core image, e.g. by using Find Cover Online, by dragging and dropping or by using the Browse button to add a local image.
  • Once this Custom Image box is checked, that cover will automatically sync to and from the CLZ Cloud.
  • Same as with custom front covers, you can automatically check your database for custom images by clicking menu Tools / Maintenance / Auto Mark Custom Images.
  • Also, they will always stay marked as custom, so that even if you clear your cloud and sync everything again, they will re-upload automatically.
  • Audience Ratings:
  • One of the top requested fields to be added to the sync is Audience Ratings… so this field now syncs to and from the CLZ Cloud.
  • What about the mobile apps:
  • We’ll be adding the audience rating and back cover fields to the sync of the CLZ Games apps (Android and iOS) within 3 months. Back covers (editing and syncing) will also be added to all Collectorz.com Movie, Book, Comic and Music products.

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 19.2.2 (May 2, 2019)

  • Changed:

  • Add buttons in the Add Screen are now disabled while data is being downloaded to prevent an Access Violation
  • Duplicate Finder:
  • Updated the standard set of columns (you can also pick your own using the column button top right)
  • After searching for duplicates twice, the screen could show “0 found” even if it found duplicates

New in Collectorz.com Game Collector 19.2.1 (May 2, 2019)

  • New: Find Duplicate Games:
  • Click menu Tools > Maintenance > Find Duplicates to begin.
  • Then select which field to find duplicates on. You can find duplicates based on:

  • Now, it is time to take the CLZ Cloud to the next level, with automatic syncing:
  • Add or edit games in Game Collector and these changes will auto-upload to the CLZ Cloud instantly. Did you make changes using CLZ Games or directly in Game Connect? Just start your software and changes will download automatically.

  • Your cloud viewer always shows the current state of your collection.

  • The ability to select your own Columns for the List View is an important customization feature of our Game Collector software. The same holds for selecting the sort order and the folder fields for the folder panel.
