- The most significant change is the addition of the Desktop Countdown Program as part of the install process
- Several changes made to the Setup Dialog to include more options
- The three text entries and the date entry can be synchronized between the programs, or set individually
- Greater variety of movement and position options
- Addition of Target Text Passed, which is used after the Target Date has passed. Previously, only the Target Text was displayed even though the date was in the past
- Program name changed from Scrolling Countdown ScreenSaver to Countdown ScreenSaver
- Addition of Help using the normal Windows Help application
- The most significant change is the inclusion with the Countdown ScreenSaver program, since it used to be an independent program that could not share any data with the ScreenSaver
