Desktop Sales Office Changelog

What's new in Desktop Sales Office 12.09

May 4, 2016
  • Improved: In the Task display changing Next Step and Next Date for a group of contacts or deals can now change JUST the Next Step or Next Date, rather than changing both fields. In the editing form a checkbox by Next Step and Next Date dictates whether the field will be updated.
  • Fixed: On the CALLS & RESEARCH > INTERNET tab, the slider that zooms the embedded web browser now works. Ooops.
  • Changed: Emails are now saved using HTML rather than rich text (RTF). The email form is a completely new form. Contacts can be dragged-and-dropped, and the time required to send emails has been reduced.
  • New: The help tab now features a Template Help button. A URL can be embedded into the template and is used to link to information about the purpose and use of each field. For example, a template that adapts fields for job seekers can link to web pages explaining how to use the program for career searches, job applications, etc.
  • New: Documents and email can contain list tables of contact and deal information. - a pseudo report writer.
  • New: The words Deals and Contacts can be aliases set via a template. For example if your business is selling maintenance contracts, you can replace the term default term "Deals" with your term "Contracts" in tabs and forms.
  • Improved: the embedded web browser that is used for researching contacts and within the Help & Internet tab now uses the latest version of Internet Explorer installed on your computer. Prior to this change, the embedded browser was Internet Explorer 7 and a lot of websites do not support IE 7.
  • New: A FILE ==> ABOUT tab has been added to the Deal and Contact forms. It contains the date created, date last modified, age, and log entries for all prior changes.
  • New: The Deal and Contact forms now have an embedded web browser. Information selected on web pages can be dragged/dropped or right-click pasted into data fields.CRM deals and web browser
  • Changed: the Position and order of some of the fields in the Deal and Contact forms have been changed to accommodate the embedded web browser.
  • Changed: Deal and Contact icons have changed to a cleaner and modern look.
  • Deleted: Reports (based on .rtf files) have been deleted and replaced by custom reporting using documents and tables for contacts. Reporting for deals will be added in a later release.
  • New: Changing the font size in the list of Contacts or Deals changes the font size in both lists. The font size is changed via a slider above the list in the ribbon area. This adjustment can improve the readability of the Deal and Contact lists. Changing the font size only applies to the Deal and Contact lists - not to other areas of the program.
  • New: The font size of the Deal and Contact lists are remembered the next time the program runs.
  • Fixed: A minor flaw in the appearance of List Of Favorites in the Deal and Contact forms has been fixed.
  • Changed: Deal form Won and Lost icons show when a deal has been actually won or lost. Won = green, Lost = red. Whoo!
  • Improved: Configuring the program to send email via your email server now has shortcuts for 50+ email hosts like Google GMail, Yahoo! Mail, Outlook.com, Live.com, iCloud, etc.
