What's new in Diffraction Pattern Calculator 1.4

Sep 24, 2019
  • The latest Windows packages and updates from Microsoft have made the previous versions of this software incompatible. I have updated Diffraction Pattern Calculator to its 1.4 version, which is compatible to the latest updates from Microsoft to Windows, especially with NetCore 2.2

New in Diffraction Pattern Calculator 1.3 (Aug 2, 2019)

  • In the "Other Tools" menu, it allows calculation of wavelengths enhanced by
  • Constructive thin-film interference for optical layers of a thickness, refractive
  • Index, angle of incidence and multiple of the fundamental wavelength defined by the
  • User.
  • It calculates them for films that have a total phase shift of 180 degrees (from
  • Reflection off the bottom layer), as well as for films that have a total phase shift
  • Of 0 for the reflected wave (180 degrees from both top and bottom interfaces)

New in Diffraction Pattern Calculator 1.2 (Feb 28, 2019)

  • Diffraction Pattern Calculator 1.2 has new features:
  • The calculation
  • Of the angle of the Zeroth diffraction order (the main maximum of the interference
  • Pattern) as well as an option to calculate the diffraction angles for a single
  • Scattering element by selecting "Other Tools" from the menubar.
  • For the
  • Single-element diffraction pattern angles to be calculated, the user must input the
  • Width (size) of the scattering element and the wavelength of the incident wave.
  • All the angles are calculated in degrees.

New in Diffraction Pattern Calculator 1.1 (Feb 27, 2019)

  • Additional info: Diffraction Pattern Calculator 1.1 displays the words "Evanescent wave" when the diffraction angle is greater than a critical angle for a certain wavelength of the incident wave. It also has a bug fix for the third diffracted angle of the Diffraction Grating table.
