What's new in DriveLock 7.6.2

  • DriveLock Disk Protection - PCs running with the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) and hard disks formatted with GUID Partition Table (GPT) are now supported. There is still a limitation to disks up to a maximum of 2 TB disk size (see also section Known issues / DriveLock Disk Protection / UEFI mode in our Release Notes).
  • DriveLock File Protection - groups of users can now be defined and assigned to the centrally managed encrypted folders in addition to single users.
  • Additionally DriveLock 7.6.2 includes the same new functionalities as DriveLock 7.5.12, which is a maintenance release.

New in DriveLock 7.5.12 (Jan 23, 2016)

  • Windows Portable Devices (WPD) - Microsoft has fixed a malfunction for Windows 7 and has released a hotfix for Windows 8.1 which allows the new DriveLock WPD driver to work properly. Thus you can use the new DriveLock WPD driver on these operating systems to block or granularly release devices such as smartphones and cameras. This new function is akin to DriveLock functionality for drives. (see also section Known issues / Windows Portable Devices (WPD) in our Release Notes).
  • When there is no more space to save shadow copies it is now possible to configure DriveLock so that USB drives are blocked.
  • DriveLock Control Center (DCC)
  • - Where possible filters will be applied at server level and therefore unnecessarily large data transfers will be avoided.
  • - Reports may be scheduled on a weekly or monthly basis too.
  • Major Fixes:
