New in Eazy Backup 7.0.1 Build 0 (Dec 18, 2015)
- The program was updated to cure a possible problem with the conversion of scheduled backups from prior versions of Eazy Backup.
New in Eazy Backup 7.0.0 Build 0 (Nov 5, 2015)
- Eazy Backup 7 includes a number of new functions and features. This page is intended to acquaint prior users with the new features. The most important updates include:
- Windows 10 - Eazy Backup 10 is designed to work with Windows 10. It will, of course, continue to function on Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and XP as before.
- Outlook 2016 - The Outlook backup module in Eazy Backup 7 will now work with Outlook 2016 ... including backup of Outlook 2016 - 64 bit. Support for prior versions of Outlook [Outlook 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003, and 2002] is also included.
- Thunderbird - The Thunderbird module has been updated to include support for the Thunderbird 38
- Firefox - The Firefox module has been updated to support current versions of Firefox including Firefox 41.
New in Eazy Backup 6.0.5 Build 0 (Dec 11, 2014)
- A modification was made to improve the restore of the FireTrust MailWasher Pro files.
- In rare cases, Eazy Backup would fail while attempting to save files with huge paths. This has been corrected.
- The backup logic for Google Chrome was improved
New in Eazy Backup 6.0.3 Build 0 (Dec 16, 2013)
- The restore of "Options" for Internet Explorer 11 could cause IE11 to fail to start. This has been corrected
New in Eazy Backup 6.0.2 Build 0 (Nov 26, 2013)
- A modification was made to improve the speed of the display of file icons during a backup or a restore.
- A modification was made to process Libraries (on Windows 7 and Windows 8) even though the Library contained incorrect folder links.
- In rare cases, Libraries (on Windows 7 and Windows 8) would contain incorrect folder links which could cause the backup to fail. These incorrect links will no longer be processed.
- Corrections were made to some of the context sensitive help links.
- Time stamp information has been added to the Restore logs.
- A modification was made in the Custom Backup group definitions to enhance the selection options.
New in Eazy Backup 6.0.1 Build 0 (Sep 18, 2013)
- In rare cases Eazy Backup 6 would not be able to read the Windows Live Mail data base files when running on Windows 8. This has been corrected.
- Minor modifications were made to the Live Update process to improve reliability.

- Windows 7 - Eazy Backup 5 is designed to work with Windows 7. It will, of course, continue to function on earlier versions of Windows as before.
- Outlook 2010 - The Outlook backup module in Eazy Backup 5 will now work with Outlook 2010 ... including backup of Outlook 2010 - 64 bit.
- Google Chrome - Support for the Google Chrome Browser has been added.
- IE8 - The Internet Explorer module has been updated to fully support IE8.
- Firefox - The Firefox module has been updated to fully support Firefox 3.5 and above (in the 3.x series)
- Thunderbird - The Thunderbird module has been updated to include support for the Thunderbird 2.0
- IncrediMail - The IncrediMail module has been updated to include support for the IncrediMail 2.0
- MailWasherPro 2010 - Support for the new MailWasherPro 2010 has been added.
- FTP - There is now an optional module which will automatically save a copy the backup on to an FTP server.
- User requested updates - Eazy Backup 5 includes a large number of modifications requested by users. Some of these updates are:
- Global file exclusion filter has been added
- Provide "Job" specific reminders
- Save and restore the Custom Backup groups with the Eazy Backup settings
- Significant improvement to the display of file icon images
- Ability to suppress show of logs unless there is an error
- Improve the purge when an automatic copy is made to a second location
New in Eazy Backup 4.5.6 (Oct 24, 2009)
- The Mozilla backup module was updated to correct a (rare) problem with parsing of the Mozilla data files.
