What's new in Effective-English 8.10

  • New: Rerecorded all the audio. Its much slower than the earlier recording.
  • New: Created new effects. The effects have been personally created. They are now more of a theme rather than the ill fitting pack, previously.
  • Fix: error in games' random picking engine. Empty spaces could been seen.
  • Fixed the 1 points message.
  • Tweaks and UI improvements have been applied.
  • Minor bug fixes.

New in Effective-English 8.0 (Jan 15, 2015)

  • New: Front end UI. The theme is now based on a "town". There are many places where you can visit and play games.
  • New: Mixed up game has been replaced with a much more understandable game. Letters needed are all visible with no need to delete misspelled words.
  • Improved: Internet Connections have been replaced.
  • Improved: Added many buttons to click to hear the pictures.
  • Improved: The dialogs are now much simpler with a clearer message.
  • Improved: The program code has been cleaned up drastically. My standards from ThemeWidgets (effectiveaspects.com) have been introduced.
  • Improved: Words and sentences have been changed to make it easier to understand.
  • Improved: Listening quiz now only has 4 large images to choose from compared to nearly 20 or so smaller ones.
  • Improved: Choose a word has been increased to 6 words.
  • Improved: Memory game has been resized and adjusted to be in the same proportion as other games.
  • Improved: The size of the program has been reduced with newer compressed audio. (A new set of recordings are being made).
  • Improved: The key lock has been replaced with a much stronger one. This all ties in with the faster internet connection
  • Tweaks and UI improvements have been applied.
  • Minor bug fixes.
