  • New feature: Added 'render size' option to design-time rendering. This specifies how the preview image will be rendered in the workspace: cover, contain, 100%, 64px etc. This functionality is available in WWB 18.0.6 (1/27/2023) and newer.

New in Extension Builder 7.1.0 (Aug 26, 2022)

  • New feature: Added 'class' property type. A 'class' is the name of style in the Style Manager. In WWB, this property will display a dropdown list with all Style Manager styles.

  • New feature: Added 'Designed for' option. Specifies whether the extension should be available in standard or mobile pages (or both).
  • New feature: Added 'Set Extensions Folder' in tools menu. If this folder is set then Extension Builder will make a copy of the extension to this folder after it has been build.

  • You can now set default data set values with the new 'Default values' option in the data set properties. Requires WYSIWYG Web Builder 9.4 or newer!

  • Added support for jQuery 1.9.1. Note that users can still select 1.7.2 in the page properties if necessary.
  • Extensions created with this version will only work on WYSIWYG Web Builder 9 and newer.
  • Remove colored backgrounds from tabs.

  • New feature: Added 'disable debug' option in Extensions Manager.
  • New feature: Added 'Enable events' option. Will add 'Events' property to properties. ' Use $EVENTS$ to add the events to your code!
  • New feature: It's no longer necessary to create a separate .uwbx extension! Non-unicode extensions will be converted 'on the fly'.
  • New feature: Rich text editor now supports links.
  • Note: These new features are only available in WYSIWYG Web Builder 8.5. However the extesions will also work in version 8.2, although the new options will be missing.

  • New feature: Completely redesigned the way user made extesions integrate with WYSIWYG Web Builder. They now run directly inside WWB. This means more control, faster loading, less memory usage, smaller extensions and more possibilties in the future.
  • New feature: Extensions now have a 'Help' button in the properties.
  • New feature: Added 'Show links settings' to image gallery property. Makes it possible to hide the links settings if your extensions doesn't need it.
  • New feature: The URL property now supports file links, popup windows and smart links.
  • New feature: Added 'Use jquery theme' option (replaces 'Theme' property).
  • New feature: Added 'Navigation' property. Makes it easier to create menu extensions. Support list and tree style navigation. The user can also synchronize the menu with the Site manager. See PDF for mroe details/examples!
  • New feature: Added 'File collection' property. Adding this property will allow the user to select fiels to be published along with the page.
  • New feature: Added 'Test XSL template' option. With this option you can test XSL templates for the various property types (gallery, dataset, navigation).
