What's new in FlowPaper Desktop Publisher 3.8.3

  • With the release this week, we’re fine tuning the desktop experience further by allowing the mouse wheel to pan in the publication. You can turn this on and off in the “Toolbar & Navigation” section of the desktop publisher depending on if you want mouse wheel to scroll or pan in the publication.
  • With this version, we’re also making it easier to access color and style settings inside the desktop publisher.

  • Exciting news! We’re thrilled to share that we’re rolling out another cool feature. We’re introducing a fantastic “zoom navigator” feature, showcased in the picture on the right. When you zoom into FlowPaper Flipbooks on your desktop PC, this handy tool will pop up, making it easier for you to navigate and read your publication.

  • Improved bottom navigator for FlowPaper elements so the slider now works on touch only devices

New in FlowPaper Desktop Publisher 3.6.7 (Apr 24, 2023)

  • This release of FlowPaper mainly improves accuracy in conversion throughout all templates as well as 3D performance in the Zine template for Windows. Certain configurations of Windows would perform differently than expected and this release addresses this. The performance and behavior will be more consistent across different Windows builds now.
  • We are working on a number of larger changes which are due in the next few weeks. This release does not contain any of these changes but we still felt it was relevant enough to release before.

New in FlowPaper Desktop Publisher 3.6.0 (Jul 26, 2022)

  • This version is mainly focused at providing the Elements templates with improvements in text rendering accuracy. The Elements template which is absolutely great at converting PDF documents to HTML5 and now combines SVG together with HTML5 for even higher text accuracy. It still provides the option of animating headers/body text as well as images, shapes and other figures inside of the imported PDF document.

  • It is now possible to import image files directly into FlowPaper to create a publication.

  • You can now apply animations to any major shape/vector illustration inside your publication. This is especially useful for charts, graphs and vector backgrounds backgrounds. Click on ‘Edit’ when you have imported your PDF using any of the ‘Elements’ templates. You will find the shape selections available in the editing area, which you then can apply animations to.
  • Added support for PDF widgets when importing publications into FlowPaper
  • It is now possible to use more generous link matching when importing Zine publications so that links without www. will be identified
  • It is now possible to disable search engine indexing for your publications. This setting can be found in the settings section on the left
  • A range of minor bug corrections

New in FlowPaper Desktop Publisher 3.5.7 (Mar 16, 2022)

  • This version of FlowPaper updates the rendering engine of the desktop publisher, which affects the aspects of document conversion related to things like output optimization, color and text accuracy as well as anything else related to PDF rendering. For most of you, this release just means that you’ll be able to import your documents and process them faster. Some of you might see slight improvements in things like color tables and font quality and some of you, will be able to convert your documents in a more optimized and more accurate manner.

New in FlowPaper Desktop Publisher 2.5.3 Build 20170201 (Feb 1, 2017)

  • Here are the most important changes for this release:
  • New import dialogue for Zine in the Desktop Publisher that presents a number of new options including the ability to overwrite previously imported PDFs and
  • the ability to flatten PDFs file when importing them. The flatten mode reduces their size and improves speed dramatically, similar to how the Elements viewer already works.
  • The flatten option is available to ‘Creative’ and ‘Creative Team’ license holders.
  • The flatten import option also improves zoom for all mobile devices to infinite levels and stays sharp at all zoom levels.
