- So looks like Yahoo are changing their website, which triggered a failure in free-stocks-ticker scraping data. For now, found a work-around and released new version. It is always possible to be blocked again in the future.
New in Free Stocks Ticker 2.0.21 (May 1, 2023)
- Added option to use Yahoo as the quote source, otherwise the source is MarketWatch. Option is available in 3rd tab of the options screen.
- If using Yahoo, BTC-USD gets the bitcoin quote, if not BTCUSD gets it.

- This version uses some newer API from the data source, however this new API provides less info than before, so another process is downloading much slower information regarding last day of trade. You should expect slow start, and inaccurate percentage change in the first few minutes, after that everything should work smoothly.

It still however relies on free data sources on the web, so it will only exist as long as those sources don't block it. When you do attempt to install, you would have to tell windows 10 and your anti-viruses to still allow it to download/unzip/install even though it has an unknown publisher.
