  • Visual tracking of the caret location while on secure desktops, such as a log on screen, has been resolved.
  • MAGic now works in Citrix environments that utilize a 32-bit server in combination with 64-bit client machines.
  • The delay that occurred when choosing the OK button in various dialog boxes has been resolved. This also applies to any settings changes made using hot keys, for example, MAGic Key+M to toggle Mouse Echo between words or lines, or INSERT+F2 to change Typing Echo from characters, words, or both.
  • Resolved an issue when creating new hot key assignments or changing current hot keys for specific MAGic functions.
  • An issue with the mouse jumping when using the View Locking feature to move between two monitors has been resolved.
  • An issue with visual tracking has been resolved when navigating combo boxes in Internet Explorer in Windows 7.

  • When MAGic is configured for Multi-Monitor mode and a second monitor is connected to the computer, MAGic now recognizes the monitor. It is no longer necessary to restart MAGic.
  • When using Multi-Monitor mode, the Focus Enhancement feature now correctly tracks items in combo boxes on the extended display.
  • Resolved an issue where MAGic would clear the Enable Multi-Monitor Support check box after unlocking the computer or waking from Sleep or Hibernation modes.
  • Resolved an issue where MAGic would not magnify the first time it was started after installation.
  • When the Mouse Enhancement or Cursor Enhancement style is set to oval shape, the mouse pointer or cursor is no longer cut off along the top of the oval.
  • There is no longer an issue with sluggish performance when using the latest Catalyst drivers for ATI Radeon HD video cards.

  • Laptop users can now seamlessly switch between using dual monitors at their desk and a single monitor when they travel. MAGic is now preconfigured to utilize dual monitors when available on the system thus eliminating the need for users to reconfigure MAGic when switching between single and dual monitor environments. MAGic automatically detects if users are set up with dual or single monitor systems and makes the features available that match the current system settings.
  • Performance issues that were noticed after the computer came out of sleep mode have been resolved.
  • MAGic now takes less time to load when launched.

  • MAGic now works on Windows 7 or Windows Vista computers configured to use multiple monitors.
  • You can now simultaneously magnify and run two different applications on two different monitors. For example, a MAGic user can have a spreadsheet open on one magnified monitor, while editing a document on a second magnified monitor.
  • Multi-monitor support is available with Windows Vista or later.
  • If you run both MAGic and JAWS screen reader software together, make sure to upgrade to the latest JAWS release to take full advantage of this feature.

  • Resolved an issue in Windows 7 where properly authorized MAGic licenses were being asked to reactivate after rebooting.
  • Improvements have been made to the way MAGic recognizes all data tables that are tagged with the component.
  • The Set Row Total and the Set Column Total functions now correctly define and report the row or column total for the selected cell in an Excel worksheet.
  • Resolved an issue in Excel where some settings were not correctly saved after closing the Adjust MAGic Options dialog box.
  • Resolved an issue where MAGic would frequently shut down when running Windows Explorer in Windows 7.
  • When using Firefox, MAGic correctly enters Forms Mode and reads table headings.
  • Resolved a reported issue when using Terminal Services or Remote desktop if connecting to a computer running Windows 7.
  • Resolved a reported issue in Internet Explorer edit controls where text being selected was not being announced as expected.
