What's new in GFI FAXmaker for Exchange 2013 SR3

Dec 27, 2013
  • New features at a glance:
  • Web Services API
  • Support for new US Robotics modems
  • OCR engine update
  • OCR for outbound faxes
  • GFI MailArchiver integration
  • This release of GFI FaxMaker includes new a Web Services API that allows systems integrators to send and receive faxes via GFI FaxMaker from their cloud application using a web service. This API is very exciting news for solution providers that wish to sell FaxMaker with their cloud solution to any customer with faxing requirements. Typical applications would include Healthcare, ERP (such as SAP and Microsoft Dynamics), CRM, etc.
  • We are also continuing our focus on Optical Character Recognition (OCR) related features, including improvements to OCR accuracy and performance with an updated version of the OCR engine, plus the ability to enforce OCR outgoing faxes so that customers can search through the contents of their outbound faxes within their email application.
  • GFI FaxMaker now also includes out of the box integration with our archiving solution, GFI MailArchiver. With this update, fax email headers will be automatically distinguishable from standard emails, making it possible for users to distinguish and manage emails and faxes separately in GFI MailArchiver.
  • These OCR improvements and the improved integration with GFI MailArchiver are fantastic news for customers who wish to manage their email, fax and sms communications together in a single, central location.
