  • Faster analysis of Russian words due to a new storage system.
  • Data improvements: many errors have been fixed.
  • Added a large amount of new translation. We've also fixed the existing translations to make them more concise and useful.
  • Updated the transliteration feature to make it easier to use. We've also added a cool new interface!

  • Now you can hide the toolbar and sidebar to use more space for your text.
  • The new word reference pop-up works faster and smoother.
  • Customizable grammar abbreviations in word reference pop-ups.
  • Fixed WinXP problem with opening the "Print to pdf" window.
  • Ambiguity analysis feature has been disabled, as it turned out to be confusing for many customers.
  • Due to new storage system your old *.gtx files will lose word locks.

New in Grammatica 1.0.5 (Jun 30, 2011)

  • Fixed a bug that meant text sometimes was blurry in Grammatica.
  • Improved the inline grammar system (the grammar notes that are displayed below words), so that it now displays all grammatical characteristics that it is sure about, even when words are ambiguous.
  • Added functionality for dragging Grammatica documents (.gtx) or text directly from your browser or other applications into Grammatica.
  • Improved the undo functionality of the text editor.
  • Changed the appearance of printed PDF documents.

New in Grammatica 1.0.4 (Jun 23, 2011)

  • Grammatica now only displays information it is 100% sure about. In other words, we have changed the behavior of the analysis system, so that inline grammar, stress marks and translations by default are only displayed for unambiguous and manually selected words. Grammatica can be configured to automatically guess inflections as it did in the previous version. Options for this can be found on the menu bar.
  • Added smarter highlighting for ambiguous words. Now, when highlighting words that can have more than one meaning or match more than one inflected form, Grammatica will show words it is not 100% sure about as "semi-highlighted". This feature can be turned on or off on the highlight menu.
  • Added a smarter system for finding words. Also added support for finding unknown words.
  • Added comparative forms to Word Reference Popups for adjectives.
  • Added a list of links to sources for finding Russian texts to the right side of the main window. This will hopefully help some users to find interesting texts to read.
  • Most likely fixed a bug that in some cases made Grammatica crash when hovering the mouse over words.
  • Added a feature for automatically submitting error reports if Grammatica crashes. This will enable us to fix bugs more efficiently in the future. Grammatica will always ask before submitting an error report, and the data does not contain any personal information.
  • Fixed a bug that made Grammatica ask to save a document even if it wasn't changed.
  • Changed the use of "locative" to "prepositional".
  • Added icons in Word Reference Popups for archaic and colloquial words.
  • Added an option to show or hide ambiguity count below words.
  • Removed two of the tutorials that were included in the previous version. The system for doing interactive tutorials needs improvements. A much better tutorial system will be included with a later update.
  • Changed a few colors and font sizes in the user interface. It is still not possible to change the font size and text formatting in documents, but it's on our todo list.

New in Grammatica 1.0.3 (May 18, 2011)

  • Fixed a problem with updating to new versions on Grammatica. On some computers, this window may close with an error message after applying the update. Everything will still be updated correctly. This is due to a problem in the previous version. Updating will be more stable after this version.
