  • To-Do will be opened when you log in, if you were viewing dashboards or Portfolio Find when logging out.
  • Notes about column permissions feature:
  • New "Column permissions" tab in "Customize Project" allows a main manager to specify permissions for custom columns from Backlog or Planning.

  • We offer a number of predefined templates which will help you get started quickly with your dashboards.
  • Save any dashboard page as a template xml file, which you can then use or distribute to other users.
  • Create a new page using either a template file on disk or one of the predefined templates.
  • Individual charts can also be saved as templates and set from a saved chart template.
  • Sort alphabetically on the "Sprints/iterations" and "Committed to" dimensions in Dashboards.
  • Reduced login times, as projects are loaded on demand instead of loading all projects when logging in.

  • Limit the memory usage for a dashboard chart. A server administrator can now set a limit to the maximum memory used for dashboard chart calculations. This will help prevent resource depletions on the server.
  • To do this, set the environment variable HANSOFT_CHART_MAXMEMORY_MB to a numeric value before launching the server. The default limit is 750. This means that a single chart calculation will not be able to use up more than 750MB of memory, but there can be up to three calculations going on at the same time.

  • Timeline PDF Export: The timeline can now be exported as a high-resolution PDF under More > Exports & Imports. The shortcut for exporting is Ctrl+P/Cmd+P (same as the old print shortcut). The PDF will contain all items currently visible in the timeline, so reports, find queries, the “Show” options, and collapsing headers can all be used to control which items are included in the export. Note: This replaces our deprecated Print function in the planning view.
  • Paste a link to find an item: Paste a Hansoft link into the Find text box and press Enter to find it quickly.

  • Status triggers on columns in boards:
  • Columns in boards can be mapped to any built-in status (Not done, In progress, etc).
  • This is configured per column by choosing “Map to status” in the column header right-click menu.
  • Mapping a column to a status does not affect cards already in the column, only cards moved to that column after the mapping is set.
  • Changing status on a card does not automatically move it to another column.
  • When creating a new board, it has a default mapping on the example columns (Not done -> Not done, Doing -> In progress, Done -> Completed).
