New in Ideal Migration 5.0 (Dec 11, 2012)

  • 64bit architecture management: IDEAL Migration can export and import user passwords from and to a 64bit system. This system can be Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • IDEAL Migration has been used in a Windows Server 2008 environment and some migrations have been successfully done to this new OS
  • The IDEAL Migration's graphical interface has been improved entirely

  • Roaming profile migration:
  • IDEAL Migration 2007 allows to migrate roaming profiles. Menu Scheduling security/domain changes, Roaming profile migration, Add a task
  • Client station migration:
  • Client station migration has been entirely redeveloped to improve migration duration. Now client station migration is done at least 2 times faster.
  • DEP protection management:
  • Detection of DEP protection on Windows 2003 Server SP1 in order to suspend the migration of the user passwords if this one is activated. The migration of the user passwords can be done but needs to change the default configuration of the server (boot.ini file). The software provides all the modifications to be carried out on the server.
  • Installed and executed task displaying:
  • Start and end date recording of the task execution.
  • Log file displaying using the right click on a executed task, and then Display Log file
  • Miscellaneous:
  • Some modifications and minor corrections
