New in Input Director 2.0 Build 138 (Aug 23, 2020)

  • Input Director's user interface has been refreshed, modernised and improved
  • Adding a new system is easier with a new 'Scan Network' feature to find other systems on the network running Input Director
  • There are no longer separate Master and Slave modes. Whether a computer is controllable and/or can control another comes down to how Input Director is configured
  • The merging of these two modes offers an opportunity to retire the terms Master and Slave. In v2.0, systems controlling other systems are referred to as Directors and the systems being controlled are Clients
  • Can control the frequency that input data is sent over the network between systems (useful for those with hi-resolution mice or less than perfect WiFi connections)
  • Networking connectivity improvements for folks with complex network setups
  • Can exclude file copy/pastes from shared clipboard
  • Improvements to the installer to minimise reboots and automatically run a hands free upgrade if there is an existing installation of Input Director
  • I'd like to thank the following volunteers for kindly giving their time to beta test v2.0: Roger Howland, ch4os, Rowan Gibbs, Bid0uille, Clay Z., Steve M, Michael Brown, Clifton, Defria Manda, Michael Ateek, klugemann, Mark Johnson, mozoy, Flavio Endo, Luis Carlos Frederico and Scott C.
