  • You can now search the functionality of the application.
  • Improved Smart Home Monitor. The user's main router can now be monitored for open ports that are most often targeted by intruders.
  • Improved Wi-Fi Analyzer. The user interface now displays tips on reading the graph that illustrates the current state of your Wi-Fi network.
  • The user's rights are now checked before displaying the list of files available for deletion.
  • In the Large Files section, a new warning is displayed when deleting large files that may contain important information.
  • Reports of the Network Attack Blocker component now include MAC addresses of devices in addition to their IP addresses.
  • Terminology in license notifications is now compliant with the requirements of Nexway.
  • Kaspersky application now complies with regulations governing the collection and processing of personal data in Vietnam.
  • Now you can resize the security news window. This functionality is not always available.
  • Problems with resizing the main window of the application have been resolved. The application now remembers the size of the screen in case of a restart.
  • Kaspersky Free lets you see the functionality of paid versions for awareness purposes. To use this functionality, you must switch to Kaspersky Standard or Kaspersky Plus.
  • Now you can switch from the current tier to a higher-tier Kaspersky package. The additional payment for the transition will be calculated taking into account the remaining validity period of the current license. It is a limited-time offer for evaluation purposes. This functionality is not always available.
  • Improved text of the notification that suggests installing Kaspersky Password Manager. The installation status of the application is also displayed.
  • The main window of Kaspersky Free displays a suggestion to switch to a paid version of Kaspersky.

New in Kaspersky Free 19.0.0.1088 (May 31, 2018)

  • It is now possible to scan scripts using Antimalware Scan Interface (AMSI). AMSI is a standard Microsoft interface that allows scanning scripts and other objects. The component can only detect a threat and notify about it, but it does not handle threats. The component is available in Microsoft Windows 10 or later.
  • Scanning of encrypted connections has been improved. You can now choose actions for sites that returned scan errors and add such sites to exclusions.
  • It is now possible to disable decryption of Extended Validation (EV) certificates.
  • The Tools window has been improved. Application features are now categorized to help you find specific features faster.
  • The display of notifications has been improved. Notifications that are not critical for application performance are not displayed while the user is in full-screen mode.
  • The Recommended settings window has been improved. The "Delete possibly infected objects" check box and the "Detect other software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data" check box have been added.

  • What's new:
  • There is now protection against infection while the operating system is being restarted.
  • Added notification from Web Anti-Virus regarding pages containing adware or legitimate software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data.
  • Improved speed for certain installation scenarios, the first startup, and the first update of the application.
  • The application now waits a longer amount of time before displaying a notification about outdated databases and application modules when the computer wakes from sleep mode.

  • If the "Always scan encrypted connections" check box is selected, the application will scan encrypted connections even if you have paused protection.
  • If the application was installed in Windows 7 and you upgraded the operating system to Windows 10 but now want to revert back to Windows 7, you are advised to uninstall the application and install it again after reverting back to Windows 7.
  • On certain websites, the application may block the download of additional pages in pop-up windows or frames. To resolve this issue, clear the "Inject script into web traffic to interact with web pages" check box in the network settings of the application.
  • If interactive protection is disabled, tasks for processing threats on your computer from the My Kaspersky portal might not be performed.
  • Certain types of objects from the category “Legitimate software that can be used by criminals to damage your computer or personal data" are not processed from the My Kaspersky portal. These threats must be processed on the computer.
